City View, Ottawa
City View (also known as St. Claire Gardens) is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located within the former city of Nepean. Most of the homes in it were built from the 1930s to the 1960s. By the 2000s some of the home were demolished and built into new ones; and they still are today. The area existed as a police village from 1954 to 1974. College Ward
College Ward or Ward 8 (French: ''Quartier Collège'') is a city ward in Ottawa, Canada's west end. The ward covers the neighbourhoods of Bells Corners, Qualicum, Graham Park, Leslie Park, Redwood, Kenson Park, Parkway Park, Bel-Air Park, Bel-Air Heights, Braemar Park, Copeland Park, Briargreen, Centrepointe, Navaho, City View, Ryan Farm, Meadowlands and Crestview. Prior to the 2006 election, College Ward was known as Baseline Ward, and didn't include Bells Corners. It was incorporated into the city with amalgamation in 2001 (elections were held in 2000). Previously, the ward existed on the earlier Ottawa-Carleton Regional Council. The ward is represented on city council by Rick Chiarelli. Bel-Air Heights
Bel-Air Heights (also spelled Bel Air Heights; French: ''Hauteurs Bel Air'') is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the east by Agincourt Road, on the south by Baseline Road, on the west by Navaho Drive and on the north by the Central Experimental Farm Pathway. The neighbourhood is mostly a middle class housing neighbourhood. Most of the homes were built in 1959 and 1960. Construction began by the Campeau Corporation in June 1958. There are a few apartments on Baseline and Navaho that were built later on. The neighbourhood has three parks; Agincourt Park, Ainsley Park and Navaho Park. For schools there is Agincourt Public School, J. H. Putman Public School, Charlotte Lemieux French School and Woodroffe High School. The population of the area is roughly 2500. Bel-Air Park (also spelled Bel Air Park) is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the east by the Experimental Farm Pathway, on the south by Baseline Road, on the west by Woodroffe Avenue and on the north by the Queensway. All of the homes were built between 1956 and 1958, and were built by the Campeau Corporation. The neighbourhood is home to Bel-Air Park on Berwick Avenue. Iris Street is the main road in the neighbourhood. Bel-Air Drive starts at Checkers Road and ends in Braemar Park on Garfield close to Maitland Drive. For schools there is Agincourt Public School, J. Parkwood Hills is a neighbourhood in Knoxdale-Merivale Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Canada. Prior to amalgamation in 2001, it was located in the City of Nepean. It is notable for the thriller ''Parkwood Hills'' (2002) which was filmed on location in the area by Kolin Casagrande, and for being a typical and illustrative example of town planning and development by Minto in the context of its position as the property manager for the National Capital Commission. Skyline is a neighbourhood in Knoxdale-Merivale Ward in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Prior to amalgamation in 2001, the neighbourhood was located in the City of Nepean. It is bounded on the south by Meadowlands Drive of Parkwood Hills, on the west by Clyde Avenue and Merivale Road, on the north by Baseline Road and on the east by the neighbourhood of Fisher Heights. Most of the houses were built from the early 1950s to 1970s. The community has Minto property featuring a 12-storey high rise with town houses on Eleanor Drive which is owned by Minto Developments Inc. In the early 2000s some garden homes were built off Eleanor Drive. In 2008, Encore Private was built just off Farlane Drive and Baseline Road. Central Park (french: Parc Central) is a neighbourhood in River Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the east by Merivale Road, on the south by Baseline Road, on the west by Clyde Avenue and on the north by the Carlington neighbourhood. The population of the neighbourhood in 2016 was 3,888 in an area of 0.91 km2. It more than doubled its population between 2001 and 2006 as the neighbourhood expanded. Excluding the residences south of Baseline which are included in the Census Tract, the population of the neighbourhood is 3,760. The neighbourhood is fairly new, having been built in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Before Central Park was built, the land was originally part of the Central Experimental Farm until the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton bought it in 1987. Copeland Park
Copeland Park, also referred to as "The Lumber Yard", is a stadium in La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA. It is primarily used for baseball and is the home field of the La Crosse Loggers baseball team. The current stadium was built in 2003, although a substantially smaller baseball diamond existed at the site before the construction of the new ballpark. At the time of its construction, the stadium held approximately 2,000 people. However, the success of the Loggers prompted expansions to the grandstand, bringing the capacity to its current 3,550 people. The Nepean Museum is a museum in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is a community-focused museum that preserves, makes accessible and communicates the former municipality of Nepean's history. Artifacts related to Nepean, from its beginnings to the 20th century, are restored and displayed in the museum galleries and grounds.
