Bel-Air Park
Bel-Air Park (also spelled Bel Air Park) is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the east by the Experimental Farm Pathway, on the south by Baseline Road, on the west by Woodroffe Avenue and on the north by the Queensway. All of the homes were built between 1956 and 1958, and were built by the Campeau Corporation. The neighbourhood is home to Bel-Air Park on Berwick Avenue. Iris Street is the main road in the neighbourhood. Bel-Air Drive starts at Checkers Road and ends in Braemar Park on Garfield close to Maitland Drive. For schools there is Agincourt Public School, J. H. Putman Public School, St. Daniel's Catholic School, Torah Academy Jewish School (Formerly St. Andrew's Adult High School) located on Lazard Street, Charlotte Lemieux French School and Woodroffe High School. Ontario Highway 417
King's Highway 417, commonly referred to as Highway 417 and as the Queensway through Ottawa, is a 400-series highway in the Canadian province of Ontario. It connects Ottawa with Montreal via A-40, and is the backbone of the highway system in the National Capital Region. Within Ottawa, it forms part of the Queensway west from Highway 7 to Ottawa Road 174. Highway 417 extends from the Quebec border, near Hawkesbury, to Arnprior, where it continues westward as Highway 17. Aside from the urban section through Ottawa, Highway 417 passes through farmland that dominates much of the fertile Ottawa Valley. Centrepointe
Centrepointe is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It was formerly part of the city of Nepean, Ontario, Nepean. It is a newer residential subdivision in the west/central part of Ottawa, developed from 1984 onwards, and is informally bounded by Baseline Road (Ottawa), Baseline Road to the north, Woodroffe Avenue (Ottawa), Woodroffe Avenue to the east, the Canadian National Railway, CN railroad to the south, and the Briargreen subdivision and Forest Ridge Apartments to the west. The housing stock includes approximately 1,000 detached homes, with the remainder mostly townhomes (row houses) and terrace homes. City View (also known as St. Claire Gardens) is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located within the former city of Nepean. Most of the homes in it were built from the 1930s to the 1960s. By the 2000s some of the home were demolished and built into new ones; and they still are today. The area existed as a police village from 1954 to 1974. Glabar Park
Glabar Park is a neighbourhood in Bay Ward, in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the west by Woodroffe Avenue north by Carling Avenue, south by The Queensway and on the east by Maitland Avenue. The population at the 2011 census was about 2,806. Most of the neighbourhood was built in the 1950s. The first part of the neighbourhood was built in 1950 in the area around Hare Avenue (surrounding the eponymous Glabar Park) by the F. J. Shouldice Construction Company and sold by the Brownlee & McKeown Realtors. Further development in the neighbourhood was done by Teron Construction and subdivided by J. P. Chenier Ltd. Braemar Park
Braemar Park (French: ''Parc Braemar'') is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the north by the Queensway, east on Maitland Drive, south by the Central Experimental Pathway and west by J. H. Putman Public School. Homes in the neighbourhood were built between the late 1950s and early 1960s. The initial development was on Riddell Ave South, with the neighbourhood nearly fully built by 1965. Most of the houses are middle- high class families. On Riddell Street South, there are some townhouses. Originally, Riddell Street started on Carling Avenue in Glabar Park. When highway 417 was built in 1967, the road split up and was called north and south. The road ended on Garfield Drive. Bel-Air Heights (also spelled Bel Air Heights; French: ''Hauteurs Bel Air'') is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the east by Agincourt Road, on the south by Baseline Road, on the west by Navaho Drive and on the north by the Central Experimental Farm Pathway. The neighbourhood is mostly a middle class housing neighbourhood. Most of the homes were built in 1959 and 1960. Construction began by the Campeau Corporation in June 1958. Woodroffe High School (Ottawa)
Woodroffe High School is a secondary school located in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, situated at the western end of the Kichi Zibi Mikan near Lincoln Fields Station. The school is under the jurisdiction of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. Woodroffe is noted for its French immersion and arts programs. These programs are showcased in Woodroffe's annual Dance Showcases and annual musicals hosted in the school's auditorium.
