CityFM89 is a Pakistani radio station, headquartered in Karachi and broadcast from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Faisalabad. It was established in July 2004 and is a subsidiary company of the Dawn Media Group. It had an objective to set a trend of radio listenership in Pakistan at a time where tapes and CDs were the usual source of music entertainment in cars, homes and public outlets. Pakistan Herald Limited, doing business as the Dawn Media Group, is a Pakistani media company based in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It publishes the ''Dawn'' newspaper and operates a TV channel, radio stations and websites. It is a listed member of All Pakistan Newspapers Society. Although it has faced tough competition from the Jang Group, it has still managed to remain popular. The group is headed by the Pakistani media mogul Hameed Haroon, its current CEO. Ownership The Karachi based group is owned by the powerful Haroon and Saigol families. Tapu Javeri
Tapu Javeri (Urdu: ; born Mustapha Farabi Javeri on 5 May 1965) is a Pakistani fashion and art photographer, radio host, television judge and jewellery designer. He works as a freelance photographer and was the photo editor of the Xtra magazine. He designs handbags, T-shirts, and scarves for his label "Tapulicious". He has also designed T-shirts for the Pakistani fashion designer Maheen Khan's label "Gulabo". He hosts a radio show, The Dark Room on CityFM89 (a country-wide radio channel in Pakistan). Anoushey Ashraf (born 14 April 1983 in Karachi) is a Pakistani VJ and actress. As a VJ, she appeared on the music channel MTV Pakistan. She has also acted in a play for PTV directed by Saira Kazmi in a 13-episode serial – in which her role was that of a best friend of the lead, played by Marina Khan. Mass is an intrinsic property of a body. It was traditionally believed to be related to the quantity of matter in a physical body, until the discovery of the atom and particle physics.
