''China Daily News'' () is a traditional Chinese-language newspaper published in Tainan, Taiwan. It was first established on 20 February 1946 by the Kuomintang and first published on 28 March 1946. Tainan (), officially Tainan City, is a Special municipality (Taiwan), special municipality in southern Taiwan facing the Taiwan Strait on its western coast. Traditional Chinese characters are one type of standard Chinese character sets of the contemporary written Chinese. The Kuomintang (KMT), also referred to as the Guomindang (GMD), the Nationalist Party of China (NPC) or the Chinese Nationalist Party (CNP), is a major political party in the Republic of China, initially on the Chinese mainland and in Taiwan after 1949.
