Chaperal
Chaperal is a neighbourhood located in the suburban Orleans area, in the east-end of the city of Ottawa, Ontario. Part of the city's Cumberland Ward, the residential development is bordered to the north by Innes Road, to the west by Mer Bleue Road, the east by Tenth Line Road and to the south by Brian Coburn Boulevard. The community includes a mixture of single family, semi-detached, town homes, and bungalows. Tamarack commenced the first phase of construction in Spring 2008. As of the Canada 2011 Census, the population was 766. Past OC Transpo plans saw a potential O-Train light train line to the area; however, some controversy and the December 14, 2006 cancellation of a previous proposal halted the plans. Tamarack Developments Corporation
Tamarack Development Corporation (Tamarack Homes) is a firm that was started in 1987 and is a subsidiary of Taggart Group of Companies in the Ottawa-Carleton region. In 2005, Tamarack joined Tartan Homes to build Jackson Trails in Stittsville, Ontario, Canada, which was Canada’s first community of Energy Star homes. In 2014 the two builders launched their latest joint project at Poole Creek Village in Ottawa's west end. The builder launched its first solo condo project in 2014, in Hintonburg, a neighbourhood of Ottawa. In 2012, Tamarack became a title sponsor of Ottawa Race Weekend in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Cumberland Ward
Cumberland ( ) is a historic county in the far North West England. It covers part of the Lake District as well as the north Pennines and Solway Firth coast. Cumberland had an administrative function from the 12th century until 1974. From 1974 until 2023, Cumberland lay within Cumbria, a larger administrative area which also covered Westmorland and parts of Yorkshire and Lancashire. Tenth Line Road (Ottawa)
The city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada maintains many regional roads, like most counties and regional municipalities in Southern and Eastern Ontario. The regional road system was created by the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton (RMOC) and managed by the RMOC until 2001. In 2001, when all six cities, four townships, and one village within the former RMOC amalgamated to form the new city of Ottawa, responsibility of the regional road system was transferred to the new city of Ottawa, and they became today's “Ottawa roads”.
