Cha Jun-hwan
Cha Jun-Hwan (Hangul: 차준환; born October 21, 2001) is a South Korean figure skater who competes in the men's singles discipline. Cha is the 2023 World silver medalist, the 2022 Four Continents champion, the 2018–2019 Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, a five-time Grand Prix medalist (5 bronze), a four-time ISU Challenger Series medalist (1 gold and 3 silver), as well as a seven-time consecutive South Korean national champion (2017–2023). He represented South Korea at the 2018 Winter Olympics and the 2022 Winter Olympics. At the junior level, Cha is the 2016–17 Junior Grand Prix Final bronze medalist and a two-time Junior Grand Prix gold medalist. Cha is the first South Korean man in history to win and to medal at the Four Continents Championships as well as the first South Korean man to medal at the World Championships. 2018 Grand Prix Of Helsinki
The 2018 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, Grand Prix of Helsinki was held in Helsinki, Finland, from November 2–4. It was the third event of the 2018–2019 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, 2018–19 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. Finland was chosen as the host after the Chinese Skating Association declined to host their annual Grand Prix event, the Cup of China. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. 2023 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2023 World Figure Skating Championships will be held in Saitama, Japan from March 20–26, 2023. The competition will determine the entry quotas for each federation at the 2024 World Championships. Qualification Age and minimum TES requirements Skaters will be eligible for the 2023 World Championships if they turned 15 years of age before July 1, 2022, and if they met the minimum technical elements score requirements. The ISU accepts scores if they were obtained at senior-level ISU-recognized international competitions during the ongoing season at least 21 days before the first official practice day of the championships or during the preceding season. The 2021–22 figure skating season began on July 1, 2021 and ended on June 30, 2022. During this season, elite skaters competed on the ISU Championship level at the 2022 European, Four Continents, World Junior, and World Championships, as well as at the 2022 Winter Olympics. They also competed at elite events such as the Grand Prix and Junior Grand Prix series, and the ISU Challenger Series.
