2017–18 Figure Skating Season
The 2017–18 figure skating season began on July 1, 2017, and ended on June 30, 2018. During this season, elite skaters competed at the ISU Championship level in the 2018 European, Four Continents, World Junior, and World Championships, as well as at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Lorenza Alessandrini
Lorenza Alessandrini (born 6 August 1990) is an Italian retired ice dancer who began representing France internationally in 2015. She and her skating partner, Pierre Souquet, competed in the final segment at the 2016 European Championships. Earlier in her career, Alessandrini represented Italy with Simone Vaturi. They became two-time Cup of Nice silver medalists (2010, 2013), two-time Ondrej Nepela Memorial silver medalists (2011, 2012), and two-time Italian national bronze medalists. Jessica Noelle Calalang (born February 24, 1995) is an American pair skater. With her current partner Brian Johnson, she is a three-time U.S. national silver medalist (2020–22) and a three-time Challenger series medalist, including gold at the 2019 CS Warsaw Cup. Dylan David Moscovitch (born 23 September 1984) is a retired Canadian pair skater. He competed with Liubov Ilyushechkina from 2014 to 2018. They were the 2017 Four Continents bronze medalists, two-time bronze medalists on the Grand Prix series, and three-time Canadian national medalists (silver in 2015 and 2017, bronze in 2016). Liubov Ivanovna Ilyushechkina (russian: Любовь Ивановна Илюшечкина, born 5 November 1991) is a Russian-born Canadian pair skater. Ilyushechkina began competing for Canada with Dylan Moscovitch in 2014, and they were the 2017 Four Continents bronze medalists, two-time bronze medalists on the Grand Prix series, and three-time Canadian national medalists (silver in 2015 and 2017, bronze in 2016). Ryo Shibata
is a Japanese competitive figure skater. He currently competes in pair skating with Narumi Takahashi. Career Competing in men's singles, Shibata won two gold medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series and qualified to two ISU Junior Grand Prix Finals. He appeared at the 2003 and 2006 World Junior Championships, finishing 12th both times, and at three senior Grand Prix events. He retired in 2010. On May 18, 2016, it was announced that Shibata had formed a pair skating partnership with Narumi Takahashi and that they would train in Chicago. Narumi Takahashi
is a Japanese retired pair skater and six-time Japanese national champion (2009-2012, 2014, 2015). With former partner Mervin Tran, she was the 2012 World bronze medalist, the 2010 Junior World silver medalist, and the 2010–11 Junior Grand Prix Final champion. is a Japanese pair skater. With partner Francis Boudreau-Audet, she is the 2016 Toruń Cup champion and a two-time Japanese national champion. Early career Suto began learning to skate in 2006.
