Carlo Brandelli
Carlo Brandelli is an artist born in England. He was named Menswear Designer of the Year by the British Fashion Council in 2005. Menswear career Brandelli's first work was Squire, launched in 1991, in which he merged the ideas of art, architecture and design by introducing one of the first "creative director" roles in the fashion industry. It was the first project of its kind, bringing together many different types of design aesthetics in a concept space in Mayfair, that embodied the beginnings of Cool Britannia. The gallery displayed design collections in the same space as classic pop art artworks by artists such as Allen Jones and Bridget Riley. Squire's early collaborators, clients and admirers included Alexander McQueen (who wore Squire's designs to his first historic Givenchy interview), Massive Attack, Kate Moss, Helmut Lang, and most of the iconoclasts of the design, music and style scene. The Palazzo Medici, also called the Palazzo Medici Riccardi after the later family that acquired and expanded it, is a Renaissance palace located in Florence, Italy. It is the seat of the Metropolitan City of Florence and a museum. Overview The palace was designed by Michelozzo di Bartolomeo for Cosimo de' Medici, head of the Medici banking family, and was built between 1444 and 1484. It was well known for its stone masonry, which includes architectural elements of rustication and ashlar. History The gallery was founded in 1995 in a , one-room space located on the upper floor of a cast iron loft building on Broadway, before moving to Greene Street in 1997. Frieze Art Fair is an international contemporary art fair in London, New York, and Los Angeles. Frieze London takes place every October in London's Regent's Park. In the US, the fair ran on New York's Randall's Island from 2012–19 and in 2021 was held in the Shed at Hudson Yards, with its inaugural Los Angeles edition taking place February 2019.
