Capreol Railway Station
Capreol railway station, located in the community of Capreol, Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, is a stop for Via Rail's transcontinental ''The Canadian'' passenger rail service. The station building was constructed in 1915 by the Canadian Northern Railway (CNoR) at a divisional point on the Canadian Northern system. It became part of the Canadian National (CN Rail) railway system when Canadian Northern was amalgamated with other railways to form CN. After the creation of Via Rail, ownership and management of the station, along with passenger services, were transferred to Via Rail, while freight operations continued with CN Rail. The nearby former home used by local Canadian Northern and Canadian National superintendents in Capreol has been converted into the Northern Ontario Railroad Museum, which showcases elements of Capreol and Northern Ontario's railway heritage. Sudbury Airport or Greater Sudbury Airport is an airport in the Canadian city of Greater Sudbury, Ontario and is located northeast of the downtown area, on Municipal Road 86 between the communities of Garson and Skead. The Sudbury Ontario Northland Bus Terminal (also known as the Ontario Northland Bus Depot or ONTC Terminal) is a bus station and depot in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Sudbury station is a railway station in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada serving Via Rail. It is the eastern terminus of the Sudbury – White River train. Located in downtown Sudbury, this historic Romanesque station built in 1907 by Canadian Pacific Railway, is one of the two VIA Rail stations in Sudbury, the other being Sudbury Junction station (serving ''The Canadian'' train) which is located 10 km away on the outskirts of the city. There is no shuttle service available between the two stations. Sudbury Junction station is a train station in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, serving Via Rail. It serves ''The Canadian'' train. It is not connected to the Greater Sudbury Transit bus system or to the original Sudbury station (eastern terminus of the '' Sudbury–White River train'') downtown. On-site ticket sales are not available. The station consists of a siding clad single-storey building with a small waiting area. The Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre is a rail transport museum located in the community of Capreol in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. The museum's mandate states it is, "focused on the preservation of historical artifacts that pay tribute to the heritage of Northern Ontario and the history of the lumber, mining and railroading industries." In Canada, a divisional point (or division point) is a local operational headquarters for a railway. Divisional points are significant in railway maintenance of way operations. GOVA
GOVA, formerly known as Greater Sudbury Transit, is a public transport authority that is responsible for serving bus routes in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada and area. The network is the largest in Northern Ontario, comprising 41 routes operating between the hours of 5:00am to 10:00pm for regular service and from 10:00pm to 2:00am for night service. Due to the increase in ridership the service has been approved for articulating buses primarily used for the largest routes and during rush-hour times. The annual ridership for the year of 2014 was recorded at 5 million passengers at an estimate of 16,000 daily. The service rebranded as GOVA in August 2019. At its 1923 merger into the Canadian National Railway , the CNoR owned a main line between Quebec City and Vancouver via Ottawa, Winnipeg, and Edmonton.
