The Sudbury Ontario Northland Bus Terminal (also known as the Ontario Northland Bus Depot or ONTC Terminal) is a bus station and depot in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. It is operated by the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC) and is a stop on a number of Ontario Northland intercity bus routes. The terminal consists of a single-storey structure situated at the intersection between the Kingsway, a major east-west arterial road in Sudbury, 2nd Avenue North, which leads south toward the residential neighbourhood of Minnow Lake, and Falconbridge Road, which leads northeast toward Garson. It lies to the east of Downtown Sudbury, close to the Southeast Bypass. Sudbury, officially the City of Greater Sudbury is the largest city in Northern Ontario by population, with a population of 166,004 at the 2021 Canadian Census. The Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC), or simply Ontario Northland, is a Crown agency of the Government of Ontario responsible for providing transportation services for passengers and goods in northern Ontario. Capreol Station
Capreol railway station, located in the community of Capreol, Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, is a stop for Via Rail's transcontinental ''The Canadian'' passenger rail service. The station building was constructed in 1915 by the Canadian Northern Railway (CNoR) at a divisional point on the Canadian Northern system. It became part of the Canadian National (CN Rail) railway system when Canadian Northern was amalgamated with other railways to form CN. After the creation of Via Rail, ownership and management of the station, along with passenger services, were transferred to Via Rail, while freight operations continued with CN Rail. The nearby former home used by local Canadian Northern and Canadian National superintendents in Capreol has been converted into the Northern Ontario Railroad Museum, which showcases elements of Capreol and Northern Ontario's railway heritage. The ''Canadian'' (french: Le Canadien) is a transcontinental passenger train operated by Via Rail with service between Union Station in Toronto, Ontario and Pacific Central Station in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Before 1955, the ''Canadian'' was a Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) train between Toronto and Chicago. On April 24, 1955, CPR renamed its best transcontinental train between Montreal/Toronto and Vancouver the ''Canadian'', with new lightweight stainless-steel equipment. Via Rail Canada took over in 1978, and, on January 15, 1990, designated the ''Canadian'' as its sole transcontinental service, between Toronto and Vancouver-only. Sudbury Junction station is a train station in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, serving Via Rail. It serves ''The Canadian'' train. It is not connected to the Greater Sudbury Transit bus system or to the original Sudbury station (eastern terminus of the '' Sudbury–White River train'') downtown. On-site ticket sales are not available. The station consists of a siding clad single-storey building with a small waiting area. Location Sudbury Junction station is located at 2750 LaSalle Boulevard East in a largely undeveloped industrial area on the northeast fringe of downtown Sudbury. The Sudbury–White River train, formerly the ''Lake Superior'', informally called the ''Budd Car'', is a Canadian passenger train operated by Via Rail serving communities between Sudbury and White River, Ontario three times a week. The timetable numbers for this train are 185 for the westbound (Sudbury - White River) and 186 for the eastbound (White River - Sudbury). The train provides flag stop service to many remote locations only accessible by rail on the Canadian Pacific Railway mainline in Northern Ontario. Sudbury station is a railway station in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada serving Via Rail. It is the eastern terminus of the Sudbury – White River train. Located in downtown Sudbury, this historic Romanesque station built in 1907 by Canadian Pacific Railway, is one of the two VIA Rail stations in Sudbury, the other being Sudbury Junction station (serving ''The Canadian'' train) which is located 10 km away on the outskirts of the city. North Bay Station
North Bay station is an inter-city bus station located in the city of North Bay, Ontario, Canada. The station is located east of downtown near the Trans-Canada Highway ( Ontario Highways 11 & 17) and directly southeast of the Northgate Shopping Centre. It was designed and laid out as an intermodal station, serving both passenger trains and intercity buses; however, due to the suspension of the Ontario Northland Railway's ''Northlander'' and ''Dream Catcher Express'' rail services in 2012, it is currently active only as a bus terminal.
