Cameron Munter
Cameron Munter (born 1954) is a retired diplomat, academic, and executive who now works as a global consultant. He was President and CEO of the EastWest Institute (EWI) in New York from 2015 to 2019, directing conflict resolution projects in Russia, China, the Middle East, South Asia, and the Balkans. He is currently a senior fellow of the CEVRO Institute in Prague and the Atlantic Council in Washington, and serves on a number of corporate and nonprofit boards. Early life and education Munter was born in California, in 1954, graduating from Claremont High School in 1972. He attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, graduated magna cum laude in 1976 with a B.A., /sup> and the universities of Freiburg and Marburg in Germany. Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden (10 March 1957 – 2 May 2011) was a Saudi-born extremist militant who founded al-Qaeda and served as its leader from 1988 until his death in 2011.
