Calema are a music duo from São Tomé and Príncipe with origins in Portugal formed by the two brothers António Mendes Ferreira (born 5 April 1992) and Fradique Mendes Ferreira (born 19 March 1987). The name of the duo refers to the special undulation on the African coast. Early life They started singing together at a very young age as they took music as a hobby. In 2008 they came to Portugal to pursue their professional degrees on the music industry. Fradique pursued a degree in Multimedia in Évora and António, a degree in Video Production in Lisbon. In 2011 they went to France with their family and kept on doing music, as they created their cover channel on YouTube. Career Three years after they were in France, Anselmo Ralph noticed them and made them enter the Portuguese music scene. Portugal In The Eurovision Song Contest 2019
Portugal participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Telemóveis" written and performed by Conan Osíris. The Portuguese broadcaster (RTP) organised the national final ''2019'' in order to select the Portuguese entry for the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel. After two semi-finals and a final which took place in February and March 2019, "Telemóveis" performed by Conan Osíris emerged as the winner after achieving the highest score following the combination of votes from seven regional juries and a public televote. Portugal was drawn to compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 14 May 2019. Saad Lamjarred ( ar, سعد لمجرد; born 7 April 1985) is a Moroccan singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, dancer, record producer and actor. He grew up in an artist family and became famous after his songs broke YouTube audience records, making him a major figure in Arabic pop, and the first singer to popularize Moroccan pop. Early life Lamjarred was born to Bachir Abdou, a Moroccan classical singer, and Nezha Regragui, an actress and comedian. From an early age, Lamjarred had a special interest in playing the piano, as well as singing as early as the age of four. Anselmo Ralf Andrade Cordeiro (born March 12, 1981), better known as Anselmo Ralph, is an Angolan singer.
