Golf became part of the Pan American Games for the first time at the 2015 Games in Toronto, Canada. The Games had an individual event for each gender and a mixed-team competition. In the latter, the low female and low male score each day counted toward the team total. Colombia swept all three gold medals at the first edition. Golf

Austin William Connelly (born September 18, 1996) is a professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He holds dual citizenship in Canada and the United States. Amateur career Connelly was born in Irving, Texas, to an American mother and Canadian father. Sofia Linette García Peralta (born 22 June 1998) is a Paraguayan professional golfer on the LPGA Tour. Early life and amateur career García was born in Asunción and enjoyed a successful amateur career. In 2013, she won the South American Junior Championship by ten strokes. Carlos Daniel Franco (born 24 May 1965) is a Paraguayan professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour Champions. He is the brother of golfer Ángel Franco. Franco was born in Asunción, Paraguay. He comes from a poor background and grew up in a one-room, dirt-floor home. Rose Zhang (born May 24, 2003) is an American amateur golfer. She won the 2020 U.S. Women's Amateur and the 2022 NCAA Division I Championship. Brandon Wu (born February 17, 1997) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He won the 2020 Korn Ferry Tour Championship. Amateur career Wu attended boarding school at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts and was on the swim team through high school. John Stewart Hagestad III (born April 10, 1991) is an American amateur golfer. Golf career Hagestad played his college golf for the USC Trojans. Hagestad won the 2016 U.S. Mid-Amateur at Stonewall, in Elverson, Pennsylvania, earning a spot at the 2017 Masters Tournament.
