European Lacrosse Championships
The European Lacrosse Championships began in 1995, the same year as the founding of the European Lacrosse Federation (ELF), to determine the best national lacrosse team of Europe. European Lacrosse Federation
European Lacrosse Federation (ELF) is the sport governing body of men and women's lacrosse in Europe. It was founded in 1995 by the Czech Republic, Scotland, England, Sweden, Germany, and Wales. There are currently 34 member nations. Overview The ELF sponsors the European Lacrosse Championships for national teams in both men’s and women's lacrosse. Nymburk (; german: Nimburg, Neuenburg an der Elbe) is a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 15,000 inhabitants. It is situated on the Elbe River. 2020 European Lacrosse Championship
The 2020 European Lacrosse Championship will be the 11th edition of the European Lacrosse competition for men's national teams. It will be played in Wrocław, Poland. The championship was initially dated from 23 July to 1 August 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament was postponed to be played from 21 to 31 July 2021. On 12 March, 2021, the competition was once again postponed, with no future date announced. This will be the first European Championship that will serve as qualifier for the next edition of the World Lacrosse Championship.
