Cédric Fofana (born September 15, 2003) is a Canadian diver in the springboard (3 metre) events. Career In 2018, Fofana won bronze in the 14-15 age category in the springboard (3 m) diving event at the 2018 FINA World Junior Diving Championships in Kyiv, Ukraine. In July 2021, Fofana won the individual 3 m springboard competition at the Canadian Olympic Diving trials. This qualified him to compete in the individual event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, However, at the Tokyo Olympics he did not proceed beyond the preliminary round, finishing last in a field of 29 divers. Diving At The 2022 Commonwealth Games – Men's 1 Metre Springboard
The men's 1 metre springboard is part of the Diving at the 2022 Commonwealth Games program. The competition will be held on 4 August 2022 at Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Birmingham. Format The competition will be held in two rounds: * Preliminary round: All divers perform six dives; the top 12 divers advance to the final. If there are12 or fewer entrants, all entrants progress with final order decided by preliminaries score. * Final: Divers perform six dives; the preliminary round scores are erased and the top three divers win the gold, silver and bronze medals accordingly. Diving At The 2022 Commonwealth Games
Diving is one of the sports contested at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, to be held in Birmingham, England. The sport has been staged in all twenty-one previous editions of the Games thus far, and will be contested in England for the third time. The competition is scheduled to take place between 4 and 8 August 2022, spread across twelve events, two more than in Gold Coast as mixed-sex 3 metre and 10 metre synchronised events are held for the first time. All individual events shall have preliminaries and finals, while synchronised events will be a straight final.
