Culdcept
is a series of turn-based strategy video games developed by OmiyaSoft. It revolves around virtual board game-like gameplay in which the player traverses a map and uses magical, tablet-like "cards" to defeat their opponents by forcing them to land on specific spaces and pay a toll, similar to ''Monopoly''. The player gains cards in the manner of a collectible card game. In the game's lore, people who are able to manipulate these cards, fragments of Culdcept, an eponymous all-powerful book of creation, are known as Cepters. The first game in the series, ''Culdcept'', was released in 1997 on the Sega Saturn. Culdcept Saga
is a video game in the ''Culdcept'' series developed exclusively for the Xbox 360 video game console. It is the first entry for a Microsoft console in the franchise. A demo of the title was made available to Xbox Live users on December 4, 2007. The demo includes two different pre-made card decks and supports both single player gameplay and local multiplayer for up to four players. Initially released in Japan in 2006, the full game wasn't released in North America until more than a year later, in February 2008, but has never been released in Europe or Australia. is a turn-based strategy video game for the Dreamcast. It is the sequel to the Saturn title ''Culdcept''. An enhanced version of the game, ''Culdcept Second Expansion'', was released for the PlayStation 2 on September 26, 2002. The expansion was marketed in North America as ''Culdcept'', and published by NEC Interchannel on December 4, 2003. Plot The Goddess Culdra foresees that a powerful Cepter known as Geminigh will gain nearly infinite power, destroying all of creation. She sends Goligan, a talking cane who is her messenger, from her original world, Ruedo, to the player's world, in order to track down the Cepter who will become Geminigh and stop them. Culdcept Revolt
is a turn-based strategy video game developed by OmiyaSoft for the Nintendo 3DS. It is part of the ''Culdcept'' series. The game was released in July 2016 in Japan by Nintendo and in October 2017 internationally by NIS America. Plot Allen, the game's protagonist, is found unconscious and with amnesia on the streets of Celphas, a medieval-styled city, by Alicia, the leader of the Free Bats, a resistance group that opposes the city's ruler, Count Kraniss. Kraniss closed off the city, preventing anyone from entering or exiting, and seeks to wipe out all Cepters, those who can manipulate magical cards.
