José Vicente Cuadra
José Vicente De la Cuadra y Ruy Lugo (25 July 1812, in Granada, Nicaragua – 10 December 1894) served as President of Nicaragua from 1 March 1871 to 1 March 1875 during that country's late-19th-century reconstruction. As a member of the Conservative Party, he governed in the early years of the era to be known as the Thirty Five Years of Conservatism in Nicaragua's political history. Cuadra's family had roots in Nicaragua since the days of the conquistadors. The Cuadra family's wealth and power came from interests in banking, agriculture, and mining. Francisco Javier Cuadra Lizana (born 23 June 1954) is a Chilean lawyer, academic, and politician. He was a minister under the military dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet, dean of the Faculty of Law, and later rector of Diego Portales University. Carlos Roberto Cuadras Quiroa (born August 24, 1988) is a Mexican professional boxer who held the WBC super flyweight title from 2014 to 2016. As an amateur he won a gold medal in the bantamweight division at the 2007 Pan American Games. Amateur career Cuadras won the gold medal at the 2007 PanAmerican Games by beating local James Pereira and winning the final against Dominican southpaw Claudio Marrero 15-11. Pablo Antonio Cuadra (November 4, 1912 – January 2, 2002) was a Nicaraguan essayist, art and literary critic, playwright, graphic artist and one of the most famous poets of Nicaragua. Pablo Maximiliano Cuadra (born 6 June 1995), known as Maximiliano Cuadra or Maxi Cuadra, is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Chilean club Magallanes. A. Z. Jolicco Cuadra (24 May 1939 in Zamboanga City - 30 April 2013 in Calamba City) was a poet and artist, art critic, essayist, and short story writer. He was known as the "''enfant terrible'' of Philippine art" in the 1960s, and his good looks and writings dubbed him the Byron of Philippine literature. He wrote poetry, the art form that he held as the highest form of art, although he also painted and even held a one-man show at Cafe Giorgio in Makati in the 1990s. After his death, some of his poet-friends launched a book of poems on October 24, 2013, entitled ''Companionable Voices'' as a tribute to him. Vicente Cuadra Chamberlain (1919–2000) was one of the pioneers of the Nicaraguan advertising industry. He was the eldest son of the economist, Vicente Cuadra Gomez and a grandson of President Vicente Cuadra Lugo. José de la Cuadra (September 3, 1903 – February 27, 1941) was an Ecuadorian social realist writer, whose short stories are among the most important in Ecuadorian literature. Biography De la Cuadra was born in Guayaquil on September 3, 1903. His father was Vicente de la Cuadra y Vayas and his mother was Ana Victoria Vargas y Jiménez. Raul Cuadra Chamberlain (1924–1974) was a Nicaraguan musician and advertising pioneer. He was a son of the economist Vicente Cuadra Gómez and grandson of José Vicente Cuadra. In the 1940s, he traveled through Nicaragua and the rest of Central America with his orchestra, ''El Champu de Carino''. Audiences were delighted with his singing and the music of his orchestra. Joaquín Cuadras
Joaquín Cuadras (1843–1877) was a Cubans, Cuban painter. He attended the art school of Antonio Ciseri in Florence. In 1861, Cuadras met fellow artist Walter Goodman (artist), Walter Goodman whilst copying Old Master paintings at the Uffizi Palace in Florence, and the two became friends. They travelled to Barcelona in 1862 and arrived in London a year later. In 1864, he sat for Walter Goodman's mother, the portrait painter Julia Goodman. Later that year, he travelled to Cuba with Walter Goodman. After returning from Cuba in 1870, Cuadras moved to Selkirk, Scottish Borders, Selkirk, Scotland for three years, where he found work decorating mansions for the Scottish elite.
