Simple Minds are a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in 1977. Wire Train was a San Francisco-based alternative rock band, who released six albums in the 1980s and 1990s. History The band was formed in 1983 by four students from San Francisco State University, Kevin Hunter, Kurt Herr, Frederico Gil-Sola, and Anders Rundblad. They were first known as the Renegades; when they had to change their name, they became Wire Train. The band's first album features Anders Rundblad (bass guitar, vocals), Federico Gil-Sola (drums), Kevin Hunter (vocals, guitar), and Kurt Herr (vocals, guitar). Alex Neri (born in Sarzana, Italy, on June 16, 1970) is a DJ, producer and songwriter. Biography A founding member of Planet Funk, having formed the band in the late 90s, Alex Neri also pursued a solo career and established an independent record label named Tenax Recordings. He started his career playing at the Alhambra, a nightclub in Sarzana owned by his father. Neri began his studio activity collaborating with Marco Baroni and working on different productions such as the Korda project ('Move Your Body') and Kamasutra ('Storm In My Soul'), all while releasing remixed productions for artists such as Club Freaks, Annette Taylor, Future Force, Instant Funk and Jestofunk. Vincent John Martin (born 3 July 1960), known professionally as Vince Clarke, is an English synth-pop musician and songwriter. Clarke has been the main composer and musician of the band Erasure since its inception in 1985, and was previously the main songwriter of several groups, including Depeche Mode, Yazoo (band), Yazoo, and the Assembly.
