Cristian Damián Torres ( lv, Kristians Damians Torress; born 18 June 1985) is a professional Association football, football player who last played for FK Liepāja, Liepāja. Born in Argentina, he played for the Latvia national football team, Latvia national team. Career Club During the summer of 2012, Torres moved from Gabala FK, Gabala to Ravan Baku FK, Ravan Baku. 18-months later, Torres signed for FK Qarabağ, Qarabağ for six-months before re-signing with Ravan Baku in the summer of 2013. In March 2014, Torres signed for FK Liepāja, Liepāja. 2012–13 Ravan Baku Season
The Ravan Baku 2012-13 season was Ravan Baku's second Azerbaijan Premier League season. Ravan started the season under new manager Cevat Güler, having replaced Bahman Hasanov in preseason. Güler was sacked as manager on 25 August with Hasanov being brought in as caretaker manager until Ravan appointed Kemal Alispahić on 24 September. Alispahić himself was sacked on 21 December 2012, after 4 wins in 13 games, and was replaced by Ramil Aliyev. Ravan went on to finish 8th in the league. 2017 Latvian Football Cup
The 2017 Latvian Football Cup was the 23rd version of the tournament. This version of the competition began on 28 May 2017 and ended on 18 October 2017. The winners of this season's cup earned a place in the first qualifying round of the 2018–19 Europa League. In a change from recent seasons, the tournament was played in one calendar year instead of over two years. The tournament was played in its entirety in 2017 Ventspils were the defending champions. Latvian Football Cup
The Latvian Football Cup () is the main knockout cup competition in Latvian football. Since 2021, its full name is Responsible Game Latvian Football Cup (''Atbildīgas spēles Latvijas kauss'') due to the sponsorship by sports betting company William Hill. The tournament was launched in 1937, replacing the previous knockout tournament – the Riga Football Cup. The competition is a knockout (single elimination) tournament. From 1937 to 2008 and again since 2017, all of the games of the tournament are played within the year. During the Soviet occupation ( 1940–1941, 1944–1991) it served as a qualification tournament for the Soviet Cup. The competition was also fully played once during the German occupation of the Baltic states, in 1943. The 2021 Latvian Higher League , known as the Optibet Virslīga for sponsorship reasons, is the 30th season of top-tier football in Latvia. The season began on 13 March 2021 and ended 6 November 2021. RFS are the league champions and earned a place in the 2022–23 UEFA Champions League while the second, third and fourth-placed clubs earned a place in the 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League. The 2015 Latvian Higher League is the 24th season of top-tier football in Latvia. FK Ventspils are the defending champions. The season started on 13 March 2015. Teams FC Jūrmala relegated at the end of last season, and was replaced by FB Gulbene, which returned to the highest level after two years. Because FC Daugava did not obtain a license to play in the 2015 Higher League, and FK Daugava was dissolved before the beginning of the new season, the league started with 8 participants.
