Cricket At The 2010 South Asian Games
Cricket was included for the first time at the 2010 South Asian Games, hosted by Dhaka, Bangladesh. A men's Twenty20, 20-over tournament was played from 31 January to 7 February 2010. The tournament was contested by five of the eight members of the South Asian Games, South Asian Sports Council, with squads restricted to players aged 21 or under. Two venues were used – the Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi and the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Bangladesh national cricket team, Bangladesh, captained by Mithun Ali, defeated Sri Lanka national cricket team, Sri Lanka in the final to claim the gold medal, while Pakistan national cricket team, Pakistan defeated Nepal national cricket team, Nepal in a play-off for the bronze medal. South Asia Olympic Council
The South Asia Olympic Council (SAOC) formerly known as ''South Asian Sports Federation'', is the governing body of South Asian Games, South Asian Beach Games and South Asian Winter Games. The South Asia Olympic Council is a sports body that looks after sports ties among the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation. History South Asian Games Federation (SAGF) was formed officially in 1983. In 2004, in 32nd meeting of South Asian Sports Federation held at Islamabad (Pakistan), it was decided to rename it to its current name i.e. South Asia Olympic Council. Pakistan National Cricket Team
The Pakistan national cricket team or Pak cricket team, often referred to as the Shaheens (), Green Shirts, Men in Green and Cornered Tigers is administered by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Nasir Hossain ( bn, নাসির হোসেন; born 30 November 1991) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He represents Rangpur Division at domestic level. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in August 2011.
