Ariful Haque
Ariful Haque ( bn, আরিফুল হক; born 18 November 1992) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his first-class cricket debut in the 2006/07 season and made his international debut for the Bangladesh cricket team in February 2018. Domestic career Ariful made his first-class debut for Barisal Division in the 2006/07 season. Ariful was the leading wicket-taker for Central Zone in the 2017–18 Bangladesh Cricket League, with sixteen dismissals in six matches. In October 2018, Ariful scored his maiden double-century in first-class cricket, batting for Rangpur Division in the 2018–19 National Cricket League. Later the same month, he was named in the squad for the Khulna Titans team, following the draft for the 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League. The Zimbabwe cricket team toured Bangladesh in October 2018 to play two Tests and three One Day International (ODI) matches. Bangladesh won the ODI series 3–0. The 2018 Asia Cup (also known as Unimoni Asia Cup for sponsorship reasons) was a One-Day International (ODI) cricket tournament that was held in the United Arab Emirates in September 2018. It was the 14th edition of the Asia Cup and the third time the tournament was played in the United Arab Emirates, after the 1984 and 1995 tournaments. India were the defending champions, and retained their title, after beating Bangladesh by three wickets in the final. The Sri Lanka cricket team toured Bangladesh in January and February 2018 to play two Tests and two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. Prior to the tour, both teams played in a tri-series, along with Zimbabwe. In December 2017, Shakib Al Hasan was named as the new captain of Bangladesh's Test squad, replacing Mushfiqur Rahim. However, ahead of the Test series, Shakib suffered a hand injury during the final of the 2017–18 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series, with Mahmudullah named as captain of Bangladesh for the first Test. A Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of cricket, played between two of the international members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), in which each team faces a maximum of twenty overs. The matches have top-class status and are the highest T20 standard. The game is played under the rules of Twenty20 cricket. Dhaka Platoon
The Dhaka Dominators (Dhakaiya/ bn, ঢাকা ডমিনেটর্স) is a franchise cricket team that plays in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), representing the country's Dhaka City, Dhaka. The team was originally established in 2012 for the inaugural BPL season as the Dhaka Gladiators and they won both the 2012 and 2013 editions of the tournament. The Gladiators were one of the teams dissolved in 2013 after the second edition. The franchise was sold to BEXIMCO Group and rebranded as Dhaka Dynamites. Khulna Tigers ( bn, খুলনা টাইগার্স) are a franchise Twenty20 cricket team representing the Khulna division in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), a Twenty20 cricket tournament. The franchise was owned by Gemcon Sports and was founded in 2016 as a replacement for the Khulna Royal Bengals who had participated in the first two seasons of the BPL. 2018–19 National Cricket League
The 2018–19 National Cricket League was the twentieth edition of the National Cricket League (NCL), a first-class cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. The tournament started on 1 October 2018, with eight teams placed into two tiers. Khulna Division were the defending champions. The opening round of matches saw a total of thirteen centuries made by twelve different batsman, the first time this had happened at the start of a cricket tournament in Bangladesh. Round four of the tournament produced the two narrowest victories in the history of the NCL, with Sylhet Division winning their match against Dhaka Metropolis by three runs, and Rangpur Division beating Barisal Division by five runs.
