Nasir Hossain
Nasir Hossain ( bn, নাসির হোসেন; born 30 November 1991) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He represents Rangpur Division at domestic level. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in August 2011. Asian Games Hossain was a part of the 13-man Bangladesh squad that played in the 2010 Asian Games in late November. The team played Afghanistan in the final and won by five wickets, gaining the country's first gold medal at the Asian Games. Rangpur (, ; bn, রংপুর , Rongpur, City of Colour) is one of the major cities in Bangladesh and Rangpur Division. The Asian Games, also known as Asiad, is a continental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. Khulna Tigers ( bn, খুলনা টাইগার্স) are a franchise Twenty20 cricket team representing the Khulna division in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), a Twenty20 cricket tournament. The franchise was owned by Gemcon Sports and was founded in 2016 as a replacement for the Khulna Royal Bengals who had participated in the first two seasons of the BPL. The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) ( bn, বাংলাদেশ প্রিমিয়ার লীগ) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league consisting of seven franchises. The BPL is one of the three professional cricket leagues in Bangladesh. It is the 16th most attended premier league in the world. In winter, each team faces the other twice in the league stage. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Cricket was included for the first time at the 2010 South Asian Games, hosted by Dhaka, Bangladesh. A men's Twenty20, 20-over tournament was played from 31 January to 7 February 2010. The tournament was contested by five of the eight members of the South Asian Games, South Asian Sports Council, with squads restricted to players aged 21 or under. 2010 South Asian Games
The 2010 South Asian Games, officially the XI South Asian Games, was a major multi-sport event that took place from 29 January to 8 February 2010 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This was the third time that the Bangladeshi capital hosted the South Asian Games, thus becoming the first city to hold the games three times. Roughly 2000 athletes from eight countries competed at the games in 23 different sports. The South Asian Games (SAG or SA Games), formerly known as the South Asian Federation Games (SAFG or SAF Games), is a quadrennial multi-sport event held among the athletes from South Asia. The governing body of these games is South Asia Olympic Council (SAOC), formed in 1983. Cricket was one of the 36 sports at 2014 Asian Games held in Incheon, South Korea from 20 September to 3 October 2014. Both Men's and Women's tournaments were held in the event.
