Crestwood High School is a public high school in Mantua, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Crestwood Local School District and since the 2021–22 school year serves students in grades 7 through 12. Their athletic teams are known as the Red Devils. Mantua, Ohio
Mantua ( ) is a village in northern Portage County, Ohio, United States, along the Cuyahoga River. The population was 1,001 at the time of the 2020 census. It is part of the Akron metropolitan area. It was formed from portions of Mantua Township in the Connecticut Western Reserve. History The first settlers came to Mantua Township in 1798. The area that eventually became the village of Mantua was owned by the Tappan family of Tappanville, later Ravenna, Ohio. After they made the Grand Tour of Europe in 1842, they renamed their northern county properties Mantua, and also renamed Tappanville, Ravenna, after the two towns in Italy they had come to love. The town was laid out in the 1840s as Mantua Station, a stop on the Cleveland and Mahoning Valley Railroad. It was incorporated as Mantua in 1898. Xan Forest Phillips is an American poet and visual artist from rural Ohio. Phillips is a trans man. Education In 2014, Phillips received a Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College, where they majored in Creative Writing and minored in Africana Studies. While at Oberlin, they served as a board member for the Center for Women and Trans People and completed a two-year research fellowship in Black Poetics. Jack Lambert (American Football)
John Harold "Jack" Lambert (born July 8, 1952) is an American former professional football player who played as a middle linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). Recognized by the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990 as "the greatest linebacker of his era," Lambert was the starting middle linebacker for four Super Bowl-winning teams during an 11-year career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bridget Franek (born November 8, 1987 in Cleveland) is an American middle distance runner who was in the U.S. Olympic team for the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 3000 meter steeplechase.
