Xan Phillips
Xan Forest Phillips is an American poet and visual artist from rural Ohio. Phillips is a trans man. Education In 2014, Phillips received a Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College, where they majored in Creative Writing and minored in Africana Studies. While at Oberlin, they served as a board member for the Center for Women and Trans People and completed a two-year research fellowship in Black Poetics. They received a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from Virginia Tech in 2016. The Lambda Literary Foundation (also known as Lambda Literary) is an American LGBTQ literary organization whose mission is to nurture and advocate for LGBTQ writers, elevating the impact of their words to create community, preserve their legacies, and affirm the value of LGBTQ stories and lives. Jamila Woods (born October 6, 1989) is a Chicago-based American singer, songwriter and poet. Woods is a graduate of St. Ignatius College Prep and Brown University, where she received a BA in Africana Studies and Theater & Performance Studies. Michael Wasson
Michael Wasson (born 1990) is an American Nimíipuu poet from the town of Lenore, Idaho on the Nez Perce Reservation. He currently lives in Fukuoka, Japan. Career Michael Wasson grew up on the Nez Perce reservation in Idaho, and recalls that landscape, his elders, and their stories and language as having a formative impact on his writing. He earned his BA studying literature, creative writing and his indigenous Nez Perce language, Nimipuutímt, at Lewis-Clark State College and an MFA in creative writing from Oregon State University while teaching writing courses. He has also taught literature, writing, and English in Tokyo, Japan, and he currently lives in Fukuoka, on the island of Kyushu, in Japan. Muriel Leung
Muriel Leung is an American writer. Her work includes the poetry collection ''Bone Confetti'', which won the 2015 Noemi Press Book Award and ''Imagine Us, The Swarm,'' which received the Nightboat’s Poetry Prize. Camille Rankine is an American poet. She was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, earned a BA at Harvard University and an MFA at Columbia University. Early life and education Born in Baltimore, Maryland, King grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia and received her B.S. in English and women's studies from Towson University.
