Creeslough Explosion
The Creeslough explosion occurred on 7 October 2022 at an Applegreen petrol station in Creeslough, a village in north County Donegal, Ireland. It killed ten people and left eight hospitalised; the highest number of civilian casualties in the county in decades. The cause is uncertain, but investigators suspect an accidental gas leak. Explosion The explosion occurred at 15:17 IST at an Applegreen petrol station and adjacent building, seriously damaging the forecourt and partially collapsing the adjoining building. The building behind the service station forecourt comprised apartments over a retail area, which included a convenience store with a deli counter, a post office and a hair salon. Up to 30 people are believed to have been in the complex when the explosion occurred, including schoolchildren. Howth
Howth ( ; ; non, Hǫfuð) is an affluent peninsular village and outer suburb of Dublin, Ireland. The district as a whole occupies the greater part of the peninsula of Howth Head, which forms the northern boundary of Dublin Bay, and includes the island of Ireland's Eye, which holds multiple natural protection designations. Letterkenny University Hospital ( ga, Ospidéal na hOllscoile Leitir Ceanainn) is a general hospital at Letterkenny, County Donegal, in Ulster, Republic of Ireland. One of Ireland's busiest, the campus is divided by a main road heading on towards the North/West of Donegal on the N56 road (Ireland). Air Ambulance Northern Ireland (AANI) also known as Air Ambulance NI is a registered charity that operates a helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) dedicated to responding to serious trauma and medical emergencies in Northern Ireland.
