Crawford Allan
Crawford Allan (born 16 May 1967) is a retired Scottish football referee. He was appointed Head of Referee Operations at the Scottish FA on the 13th January 2020. Refereeing career Allan, who began his refereeing career in the early nineties, retired from refereeing shortly after his 50th birthday. In association football, the referee is the person responsible for interpreting and enforcing the Laws of the Game during a match. The referee is the final decision-making authority on all facts connected with play, and is the match official with the authority to start and stop play and impose disciplinary action against players and coaches during a match. The Scottish Football League (SFL) was a league featuring professional and semi-professional football clubs mostly from Scotland.One club, Berwick Rangers, is based in the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, which is located approximately 4 km south of the Anglo-Scottish border. From its foundation in 1890 until the breakaway Scottish Premier League (SPL) was formed in 1998, the SFL was the top level of football in Scotland.
