It was played annually for eighteen years at Champions Run in Omaha, Nebraska. It debuted as the "Nike Omaha Classic" in 1996, with a purse of $200,000 and a winner's share of $36,000, won by Rocky Walcher on August 11. For its 18th and final edition in 2013, the purse had quadrupled to $800,000 and Bronson La'Cassie took the winner's share of $144,000 after three playoff holes. David Branshaw
David Sean Branshaw (born September 25, 1969) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour Champions. He formerly played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour (now known as the Korn Ferry Tour). Branshaw was born in Oswego, New York. He turned professional in 1991, and competed on the Nationwide Tour in 1997, 2002, 2003, and 2005. In 2003, he earned his PGA Tour card by finishing T4 at Q-School. Branshaw struggled in his first year on Tour, and failed to retain his playing card. In 2005, Branshaw finished 7th on the Nationwide Tour money list and regained a spot on the PGA Tour with a win at the 2005 Nationwide Tour Championship. Branshaw did not play again on the PGA Tour after 2007, when he made only 10 cuts in 30 events and lost his tour card. He played on the Nationwide Tour full-time after that. Ryan Hietala
Ryan Hietala (born November 8, 1973) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Hietala was born in Bellingham, Washington. He played college golf at the University of Texas-El Paso, graduating in 1998 with a degree in criminal justice. He turned professional in 1997. Hietala has played on several mini-tours and third-tier tours: Tight Lies Tour (1997–2001), Canadian Tour (1998), and Golden Bear Tour (2002). He played on the Nationwide Tour in 1999, 2003–2005, 2007–2009. He played on the PGA Tour in 2006 after finishing T18 in the 2005 qualifying school. Thomas Charles Gillis (born July 16, 1968) is an American professional golfer. Early life Gillis was born in Pontiac, Michigan, and graduated from Lake Orion High School in Lake Orion, Michigan. He turned professional in 1990 after playing collegiate golf at Oakland Community College and Coastal Carolina University. Early life Pride was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He attended Tuscaloosa Academy and the University of Alabama, where he was a member of the golf team.
