Courier (Akudama Drive)
is a protagonist in the anime series '' Akudama Drive'' by Studio Pierrot and Too Kyo Games. He is a terse man who is skilled at delivering any package to any recipient as long as he is paid. Courier can also fight with his customized motorbike, which contains a small railgun built into the front. Courier is introduced in the first episodes, where he accidentally drags the Ordinary Citizen, who becomes the Akudama Swindler, into teaming up with other criminals and go on missions to protect people wanted by the law. He is voiced by Yūichirō Umehara. The character of Courier was created by Kazutaka Kodaka and inspired by the cast of the Quentin Tarantino film ''Reservoir Dogs''. His design was changed throughout the creation of the series, as its concept wavered between steampunk and cyberpunk, which also involved changes to the bike the character drives. Akudama Drive
is a 2020 Japanese cyberpunk anime television series conceptualized by Kazutaka Kodaka and produced by Pierrot and Too Kyo Games. It was written by Norimitsu Kaihō and directed by Tomohisa Taguchi. Set in a dystopian future in Kansai, the story follows a young woman who accidentally becomes a criminal known as Akudama, who are pursued by the government, though she decides to take a fake identity, Swindler, in order to survive after meeting Courier. The series aired from October to December 2020. A total of six DVD and Blu-ray box sets collected the twelve-episode series in Japan. Tagushi was inspired after seeing Kodaka's work in the '' Danganronpa'' series and both agreed to work together. Akira (1988 Film)
is a 1988 Japanese animated cyberpunk action film directed by Katsuhiro Otomo, produced by Ryōhei Suzuki and Shunzō Katō, and written by Otomo and Izo Hashimoto, based on Otomo's 1982 manga of the same name. Set in a dystopian 2019, it tells the story of Shōtarō Kaneda, a leader of a biker gang whose childhood friend, Tetsuo Shima, acquires incredible telekinetic abilities after a motorcycle accident, eventually threatening an entire military complex amid chaos and rebellion in the sprawling futuristic metropolis of Neo-Tokyo. Danganronpa
is a Japanese video game franchise created by Kazutaka Kodaka and developed and owned by Spike Chunsoft (formerly Spike). The series primarily surrounds various groups of apparent high school students who are forced into murdering each other by a robotic teddy bear named Monokuma.
