Coup De Grace (Miles Kane Album)
''Coup de Grace'' is the third studio album by English musician Miles Kane. It was released on 10 August 2018. Background Miles Kane started writing the album right after his second solo album ''Don't Forget Who You Are'' was released, but became sidetracked when he and Alex Turner resumed their writing partnership for The Last Shadow Puppets's album ''Everything You've Come to Expect''. The songs "Silverscreen", "Coup de Grace" and "Shavambacu" were written in New York. However, according to Kane, he got stuck in a rut while in Los Angeles and "couldn't finish anything" following a break-up. In 2017, he went to an acoustic gig by Jamie T, whom he knew for many years. Afterwards he stayed with Jamie T in a hotel and the two started to write songs together, including "Nothing Changes". The first single from the album, "Loaded", is also written with Jamie T, but became a collaboration with Lana Del Rey when she joined in while it was being written. Miles Peter Kane (born 17 March 1986) is an English musician, best known as a solo artist and the co-frontman of the Last Shadow Puppets. He was also the former frontman of the Rascals, before the band announced their break-up in August 2009. He is currently pursuing a solo career, and continues to be a part of the Last Shadow Puppets with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner. His debut solo album, ''Colour of the Trap'', was released on 9 May 2011 and the follow-up, ''Don't Forget Who You Are'' was released on 3 June 2013. Mini Mansions are an American band founded by Zach Dawes, Tyler Parkford, and Queens of the Stone Age bassist Michael Shuman. Mini Mansions' style has been compared to The Beatles, Elliott Smith, and Fountains of Wayne (though this comparison has drawn some criticism from Michael Shuman of the band). Guards (band)
Guards are an American three piece rock band. They consist of Richie Follin, Loren Humphrey, and Kaylie Church. They released their debut album, ''In Guards We Trust'', in February 2013. History 2010: Formation Guards formed in New York City when Follin finished a European tour and went to a recording studio. He began writing and recording with his sister's band, Cults, and he ended up singing the songs. They put the songs on the internet and began to get show offers, so he formed Guards consisting of himself, Loren Humphrey and Kaylie Church. Follin and Humphrey were originally of the band The Willowz. The trio caught the attention of 3 Syllables Records and they released their eponymous debut EP on the label in 2010. Zachary Edwin Dawes (born July 2, 1985) is an American musician, producer, engineer, and technician, best known as the bassist for the bands Mini Mansions and The Last Shadow Puppets. He has also made contributions to music by Brian Wilson, Lana Del Rey, among other music artists. Early life Dawes grew up in Encino, California. He majored in Film & Digital Media at the University of California, Santa Cruz. As a child, Dawes learned to play the piano, but switched to bass when he discovered that the band he was starting needed a bass player. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry.
