Corsica Ferries - Sardinia Ferries (Corsica Ferries France SAS – Forship SpA) is a Franco-Italian ferry company that operates traffic to and from the islands of Corsica, Sardinia and Elba. The ferry company was founded in 1967 by the Corsican Pascal Lota under the name of ''Corsica Line'' with one ferry, the ''Corsica Express''. Since the company’s humble beginnings it has continuously grown and is today the market leader to Corsica and Sardinia. Corsica Sardinia Ferries is the premier ferry operator on the Western Mediterranean Sea transporting more than 2.8 million passengers annually aboard their ferries running to and from France and Italy to Corsica, Sardinia and Elba. Corsica Sardinia Ferries operate two return routes from Italy to Sardinia and 10 return routes from France and Italy to Corsica, with a total of up to 13 crossings daily. Aliağa
Aliağa is a town and a district of Izmir Province in the Aegean Region of Turkey. The town is situated at about north of Izmir. Aliağa has a large port, mainly for oil and bulk cargo. Its economic activity is based on tourism, shipbreaking, and an oil refinery. Overview and history Aliağa lies in the heart of ancient Aeolia. MS ''Mega Regina'' is a cruiseferry owned by Corsica Ferries. She was formerly owned and operated by Viking Line as MS ''Mariella''. The MS ''Pascal Lota (ex Superstar)'' is a fast ferry owned by the Corsica-based Corsica Ferries - Sardinia Ferries. She was built in 2008 at the Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona, Italy. Concept and construction The design of the ''Superstar'' is based on Moby Lines' MS Moby Aki. The original order included an option for a second ship of the same type, which Tallink decided not to exercise. The keel of the vessel was laid on January 18, 2007. On October 5, 2007, the ''Superstar'' was christened by the Estonian tennis player Kaia Kanepi. The ship was delivered on 8 April 2008 and left Ancona for the Baltic Sea a day later.
