''Contra el Tiempo'' is the debut album by the Dominican urban artist Don Miguelo, released on June 13, 2006, by JVN Music. All songs written or co-wrote by Don Miguelo, it contains 14 tracks of reggaeton and Latin urban with features guest appearances Domenic M, Monchy & Alexandra, Mary O'Nellon and Frank Reyes. The album was supported by the release of three official singles: "Ma'taide", "Acelearo & Pico", and the lead single "Que Tu Quieres (Cola de Motora)" which was released in February 2005, was a national success insade the Dominican Republic and receiving exposure and attention by local media. Following the success of the singles released, Don Miguelo won Best New Artist, at the 2006's Soberano Awards, previously known as Casandra Awards, becoming the first Dominican urban act to ever won such award. Don Miguelo
Miguel Ángel Valerio Lebrón (born August 27, 1981), better known by his stage name Don Miguelo, is a People of the Dominican Republic, Dominican rapper in the Reggaeton genre. He became famous with his smash hit "La Cola De Motora" and he has twice been awarded with the Casandra Awards. Career Don Miguelo is a singer from San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic. He won the Revelation Artist category at the 2006 Casandra Awards thanks to the success with his first hit the song “Que Tu Quieres” better known as “ La Cola De Motora” from his first album “Contra El Tiempo (Don Miguelo album), Contra El Tiempo”. He later would confess that the success of this song even surprised himself. Monchy & Alexandra were a bachata musical group from the Dominican Republic. They sang together as a duo beginning in 1998. Their first big hit was " Hoja en Blanco", which they released in 1999. Since then, they had many other hits, such as "Hasta el Fin" and "Perdidos", both from their 2004 album ''Hasta el Fin'', as well as "No Es Una Novela" from their 2006 ''Éxitos y Más'' album. Frank Reyes born June 4, 1969, he is one of the best known bachata artists, famous throughout Latin America. He was born in the town of Tenares in the Dominican Republic. Reyes discovered his musical talent when he was a young boy. He and his brothers started their own musical group and had great singing talent.
