Comedy Central Extra is a European pay television channel that launched in the United Kingdom and Ireland in 2003. Followed by the Netherlands in 2011 were it was visible till 31 december 2022. Between 2012 and 2020 it was also available in parts of Eastern Europe and the Balkans. History The channel launched as ''Paramount Comedy 2'' in the UK and Ireland on 1 September 2003 on Sky, and followed soon after on 22 September 2003 on Telewest and 15 October 2003 on NTL. The channel was originally a so-called 'timeshift' service, offering programmes from Paramount Comedy at different times. It later started broadcasting some different programming from Paramount, often British. On 17 February 2009, it was announced that both Paramount Comedy 1 and Paramount Comedy 2 would be re-branded as Comedy Central and Comedy Central Extra on 6 April 2009 at 9 pm. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. MTV OMG was a British pay television music channel operated by Paramount Networks UK & Australia. It launched on 1 March 2018, replacing free-to-air sister music channel Viva. The audience profile on Sky Media showed that the channel had a 60/40 viewer bias in favor of women. The channel aired its own weekly OMG Top 20 charts, which were chosen by the channel. Comedy Central Family (Dutch TV Channel)
Comedy Central Family was a television channel broadcasting comedy TV series. It launched in the Netherlands as a joint venture between Viacom International Media Networks and Endemol. It featured both foreign acquisitions and Dutch series from the Endemol libraries. Its launch was originally scheduled for 1 September 2008. It was, however, delayed and the channel eventually launched through cable operator Ziggo on 1 October 2008. On the channel, the Dutch, American, British and Flemish comedy series are aired. Comedy Central Family was available via cable company Ziggo, KPN, Delta and Caiway. Comedy Central Family closed in the Netherlands on 31 May 2018.
