Clube Esportivo Paysandu, commonly known as Paysandu, is a Brazilian social club and a former football club based in Brusque, Santa Catarina state. History The club was founded on December 30, 1918 as Sport Club Paysandú. The club was eventually renamed to Clube Esportivo Paysandu They won the Campeonato Catarinense Second Level in 1986. Paysandu and Carlos Renaux fused on October 12, 1987 to form Brusque Futebol Clube. Stadium Clube Esportivo Paysandu played their home games at Estádio Carlos Renaux. Brusque, Santa Catarina
Brusque is a city in Santa Catarina, Brazil. It was founded in 1860, by 55 German immigrants. The city was originally called Colônia Itajahy, but on 17 January 1890 it was renamed Brusque after former Santa Catarina province president Francisco Carlos de Araújo Brusque. Clube Atlético Carlos Renaux, commonly known as Carlos Renaux, is a Brazilian football club based in Brusque, Santa Catarina state. They won the Campeonato Catarinense twice. History The club was founded on September 14, 1913, as Sport Club Brusquense. The club was renamed to Clube Atlético Carlos Renaux on March 19, 1944. They won the Campeonato Catarinense in 1950 and in 1953. Carlos Renaux and Paysandu-SC fused on October 12, 1987 to form Brusque Futebol Clube. Brusque Futebol Clube, commonly referred to as Brusque, is a Brazilian professional club based in Brusque, Santa Catarina founded on 12 October 1987. History The club was founded on October 12, 1987, after Paysandu-SC and Carlos Renaux fused. The club competed in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C in 1988, being eliminated in the second stage. In 1989, Brusque competed in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, when the club was eliminated in the first stage. In 1992, Brusque won the Campeonato Catarinense, and the Copa Santa Catarina for the first time.
