Clooney-Quin GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village areas of Clooney and Quin, County Clare in Ireland. The club field teams in hurling and Gaelic Football. The club was founded in 1888 and its most notable player was Amby Power, who captained the Clare 1914 All-Ireland winning team. Sixmilebridge GAA
Sixmilebridge is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Sixmilebridge, County Clare, Ireland. History Sixmilebridge GAA Club was founded in 1904. The first recorded matches were at junior hurling and football level against Newmarket-on-Fergus with the hurlers winning and the footballers losing 2–07 to 0–02. The first recorded championship success was in 1940. Kilkishen were defeated in the Clare Intermediate Hurling Championship by Newmarket-on-Fergus. A further ten years elapsed before Sixmilebridge won the Clare Junior A Hurling Championship. In 1951 they won the Clare Intermediate Hurling Championship beating Ennis Dalcassians in the final. The following year the Bridge reached the county senior final only to be beaten by Scariff. In 1954 Sixmilebridge won their first ever senior trophy winning the Clare Cup against Newmarket-on-Fergus on a scoreline of 4-06 to 2-06. Peter Duggan
Peter Duggan (born September 1993) is an Irish hurler who plays for Clare Senior Championship club Clooney-Quin and at inter-county level with the Clare senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a right wing-forward. Playing career Clooney-Quin Duggan joined the Clooney-Quin club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels before eventually progressing onto the club's senior team. On 15 October 2017, Duggan was named at left wing-forward but played at full-forward when Clooney-Quin qualified for their first Clare Senior Championship final in 73 years. He scored ten points, including a last minute free to secure a 1-16 to 0-19 draw with Sixmilebridge. Clare Junior Football Championship
The Clare Junior A Football Championship (abbreviated to Clare JAFC) is an annual Gaelic football club competition organised by the Clare County Board of the GAA for clubs below the Intermediate and Senior grades. It is contested by the top-ranking Junior clubs in County Clare, Ireland. It is the third-tier adult competition of the Clare football pyramid. The 2023 Clare Junior Champions are Killimer who defeated Éire Óg, Ennis to be crowned champions after extra time for their first at this grade. Clare Junior Hurling Championship
Clare Junior Hurling Championship is the third-tier hurling competition organized by the Clare County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The competition is confined to clubs organised by Clare GAA. The winners usually will play in the intermediate grade the following year for the Clare Intermediate Hurling Championship. They will also represent Clare GAA in the Munster Junior Club Hurling Championship. Clare Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Clare Intermediate Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Clare GAA, Clare County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association for the second tier hurling teams in the county of County Clare, Clare in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at Cusack Park (Ennis), Cusack Park. The championship includes a group stage which is followed by a knock-out phase for the top teams. There is also promotion involving the Clare Senior Hurling Championship and relegation involving the Clare Junior Hurling Championship. The Munster Intermediate Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Hurling Intermediate Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the champion intermediate clubs in the province of Munster in Ireland. It is the most prestigious competition for intermediate clubs in Munster hurling. The Munster Intermediate Club Championship was introduced in 2003. Senior Hurling Championship, more commonly known as the'' Clare Senior Hurling Championship ''or'' Clare SHC, ''is an annual hurling competition organised by the Clare County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. It is contested by the top-ranking senior hurling clubs in Clare, Ireland. It is the most prestigious competition in Clare hurling. Introduced in 1887 as the Clare Hurling Championship, it was initially a straight knockout tournament open only to senior-ranking club teams. All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship 1914
The 1914 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 28th staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1887. The championship began on 10 May 1914 and ended on 18 October 1914. Kilkenny entered the championship as defending champions, however, they were beaten by Laois in the Leinster final.
