2017 Clare Senior Hurling Championship
The 2017 Clare Senior Hurling Championship will be the 122nd staging of the Clare Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Clare County Board in 1887. The defending champions and holders of the Canon Hamilton Cup were Ballyea who won their first ever Senior title in October 2016. Ennis
Ennis () is the county town of County Clare, in the mid-west of Ireland. The town lies on the River Fergus, north of where the river widens and enters the Shannon Estuary. Ennis is the largest town in County Clare, with a population of 25,276, making it the 6th largest town, and 12th largest urban settlement, as of 2016. Cratloe GAA
Cratloe GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village of Cratloe, County Clare, Ireland. The club deals with both Gaelic football and hurling and basketball. The club competes in Clare GAA competitions. In November 2013, Cratloe won their first ever Clare Senior Football Championship title, defeating Doonbeg by 0-10 to 0-7. They reached the 2013 Munster Senior Club Football Championship final on 1 December, but were defeated 0-13 to 0-12 by Dr Crokes. In 2014, Cratloe won the Clare Senior Hurling championship on 5th October and the Clare Senior Football Championship seven days later. Crusheen GAA
Crusheen GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Crusheen, County Clare, Ireland. The club is almost exclusively concerned with the game of hurling. In October 2010, Crusheen became Clare hurling champions for the first time in their 123-year history with a 2–13 to 1–11 win against Cratloe. In their first ever Munster Club Championship, they were defeated by Kilmallock in the quarter-final by 0–14 to 2–11 In October 2011, Crusheen retained their county title after defeating Sixmilebridge at a waterlogged Cusack Park. In November 2011, Crusheen played in their first ever Munster Senior Club Hurling Final against Na Piarsaigh from Limerick, the match finishing in a 0–14 to 1–11 draw. Inagh-Kilnamona GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the parish of Inagh and Kilnamona, County Clare in Ireland. The club field teams in hurling. The present club was formed prior to the 2008 season when Inagh GAA and Kilnamona GAA merged to form one club. History The club was set up in 1887. It was originally called Smith O'Brien's, Kilnamona, after the nationalist William Smith O'Brien (1803–64). Kilnamona enjoyed success in the first decade of the 20th century, winning the Clare Senior Hurling Championship in 1902, 1903 and 1908. In 1902, Kilnamona defeated Barefield in the County Final. Sixmilebridge
Sixmilebridge (), is a large village in County Clare, Ireland. Located midway between Ennis and Limerick city, the village is a short distance away from the main N18 road. Sixmilebridge partly serves as a dormitory village for workers in the Limerick city, Ennis and Shannon region, with a number of modern housing developments having been built to accommodate demand.
