Clio Area School District
Clio Area School District is a public school district in Genesee County in the U.S. state of Michigan and in the Genesee Intermediate School District. The district includes all of the city of Clio; the majorities of Vienna Township, and Thetford Township; and parts of Mount Morris Township, and Montrose Township, Michigan. Clio Schools operates a four-tier configuration for district schools. Grades Kâ3 are assigned to elementary level, 4 and 5 are assigned to the Intermediate level, 6â8 are assigned to the middle school level, and 9â12 to the high school level. Attendants of the Clio Area High School require 28.5 credits to graduate; 25.5 of the credits must be earned through Clio High School. The rest are to be earned through correspondence schools, virtual high school, and adult education courses, etc. If a student does not have at least this many credits, there are credit make-up programs available. Genesee County ( ) is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 406,211, making it the fifth-most populous county in Michigan. Mount Morris Charter Township is a charter township of Genesee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 21,501 as of the 2010 census. The city of Mount Morris borders on the east, but the two are administered autonomously. The Charter Township of Montrose is a charter township of Genesee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 6,224 at the 2010 census, a slight decrease from 6,336 at the 2000 census. The City of Montrose is surrounded by the township, but is politically and administratively autonomous. Montrose Charter Township is located in the northwest corner of Genesee County, bisected nearly down the middle by the Flint River. Flint Metro League
Flint Metro League (FML) is a high school sports league in the Flint area of Michigan. It is composed of twelve high schools. History In 1968, six Flint area schools formed a new league to play against schools of similar size and to cut down on travel for some schools. Two teams, Fenton and Swartz Creek, joined from the County B League, and one each from the Big Nine Conference (Ainsworth), Wayne-Oakland League (Holly) and Tri-County League ( Lapeer High) and a new high school: Carman. The league in 1983 contained 10 schools but by 2002 there were seven teams. Clio in 2005 and Swartz Creek in 2006 moved to the Flint Metro League as the conference was perceived as being overpowering to those schools.
