Claudia Stamm
Claudia Stamm (born 8 October 1970) is a German politician. Early life and education Stamm, born on 8 October 1970 in Würzburg of Bavaria, graduated from the Wirsberg-Gymnasium high school in Würzburg in 1990. She spent one year as an exchange student in Illinois, USA. She went on to complete her Master's in political science specialising in women's studies at the Eichstätt-Ingolstadt university, then at the University of Cologne, and at the University of Salamanca in Spain. After working for a women's association, she was employed in 1999 by Bayerischer Rundfunk as a freelance writer and editor. Political career On 3 April 2009, Stamm joined the political party Alliance 90/The Greens and was elected member of the Bavarian state parliament. In March 2017, she resigned from the party and carried on her mandate as an independent until October 2018 when she resigned from the state parliament. Mut (political Party)
Mut (transl. ''courage'') is a German political party founded in June 2017 by Claudia Stamm and Stephan Lessenich. History Since 2009, Stamm has been associated with the Alliance 90/The Greens, Greens as a Member of Parliament. She resigned in March 2017 and formed Mut on 1 June 2017 with Lessenich and others. Mut is a federal party and is based in Munich. Apart from Stamm and Lessenich, the board members include Nicole Britz and Alex Schweiger, the treasurer. Britz is the former Chairman of the Pirate Party of Bavaria. Other known members of the political party are Renate Ackermann and Matthias Matuschik. It is the youngest political party to participate in the 2018 Bavarian state election, Bavarian state elections of 2018. Barbara Stamm (; 29 October 1944 – 5 October 2022) was a German politician of the Christian Social Union in Bavaria. She joined the CSU in 1969, was a member of the town council of Würzburg from 1972, and a member of the Landtag of Bavaria from 1976. The Christian Social Union in Bavaria (German: , CSU) is a Christian-democratic and conservative political party in Germany. The 2019 European Parliament election was held between 23 and 26 May 2019, the ninth parliamentary election since the first direct elections in 1979. A total of 751 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) represent more than 512 million people from 28 member states. In February 2018, the European Parliament had voted to decrease the number of MEPs from 751 to 705 if the United Kingdom were to withdraw from the European Union on 29 March 2019.
