Clarklewis is a restaurant in Portland, Oregon, United States. Description Clarklewis serves Italian-inspired Pacific Northwest cuisine in an industrial space in southeast Portland's Buckman neighborhood. The menu has included Cortez Bay scallop ceviche, Pacific halibut with pancetta, chicken and Mulino Marino polenta, and orecchiette with gold potatoes, green beans, and pesto, among other pasta dishes. The restaurant has used meat from the bison ranch Rain Shadow El Rancho in Scio, Oregon. History Michael and Naomi Hebberoy were co-owners, as of 2005. Morgan Brownlow was a chef. Bluehour (sometimes erroneously called Blue Hour) was a Mediterranean cuisine, Mediterranean restaurant and bar located in the Pearl District, Portland, Oregon, Pearl District of Portland, Oregon, United States. The business began operating in September 2000. Bruce Carey and Joe Rogers co-owned the business with Kenny Giambalvo, who also served as an executive chef until 2011. Southeast Portland is one of the sextants of Portland, Oregon. Boundaries and features Southeast Portland stretches from the warehouses along the Willamette River through historic Ladd's Addition to the Hawthorne and Belmont districts out to Gresham. Buckman is a neighborhood in the Southeast section (and a small portion of the Northeast section) of Portland, Oregon. The neighborhood is bounded by the Willamette River on the west, E Burnside St. on the north (except for a triangle between NE 12th Ave. and NE 14th Ave. in which NE Sandy Blvd. forms the northern border), SE 28th Ave. on the east, and SE Hawthorne Blvd. on the south. Scio, Oregon
Scio ( ) is a city in Linn County, Oregon, United States. The population was 838 at the 2010 census. History ''Oregon Geographic Names'' suggests that Scio was named by one of the original residents, William McKinney, who, with Henry L. Turner, set up a flour mill at the new town. Turner suggested McKinney come up with a name for the place, and McKinney used the name of his former home, Scio, Ohio. Scio in Ohio is, in turn named for a Greek island called ''Chios''; the Italian version of the name is Scio. Scio post office, headed by postmaster Euphronius Wheeler, was established on October 3, 1860.
