A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Karlie Denise Hay (born December 12, 1997) is an American model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Teen USA 2016. She is the first Texan to win the crown since 2011. Early life Hay was born on December 12, 1997, in Tomball, Texas. As a child, some of her family members dealt with alcoholism and substance abuse. She graduated from Tomball High School in 2016, where she was a cheerleader. Prior to winning Miss Teen USA, Hay was planning on attending Texas A&M University to study business. Miss Teen USA 2020 was the 38th Miss Teen USA pageant. Originally scheduled to be held in spring 2020, the competition was postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was later rescheduled for November 7, 2020 at the Exhibition Centre and the Soundstage at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. The competition was hosted by Allie LaForce and Cheslie Kryst. Miss Teen USA Special Awards
Miss Teen USA is a beauty pageant formerly run, since 1983, by the Miss Universe Organization for girls aged 14–19. Unlike its sister pageants Miss Universe, which currently broadcasts on Fox and Miss USA, this pageant is webcast on the Miss Teen USA website and simulcast on mobile devices and video game consoles.
