Christian Schacht
Christian Schacht (born 24 June 1976) is a retired German sprinter who specialized in the 100 metres. Schacht won a bronze medal in 4 x 100 metres relay at the 2002 European Championships, with teammates Ronny Ostwald, Marc Blume and Alexander Kosenkow. The team originally finished fourth, but was promoted to third place after performances by Dwain Chambers were disqualified by the IAAF since Chambers admitted the use of performance-enhancing drugs. 100 Metres
The 100 metres, or 100-meter dash, is a sprint race in track and field competitions. The shortest common outdoor running distance, the dash is one of the most popular and prestigious events in the sport of athletics. It has been contested at the Summer Olympics since 1896 for men and since 1928 for women. The inaugural World Championships were in 1983. The reigning 100 m Olympic or world champion is often named "the fastest man or woman in the world". Ronny Ostwald
Ronny Ostwald (born 7 April 1974, in Beeskow) is a German sprint athlete. He finished 8th in the 100m final at the 2006 European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg. Alexander Kosenkow (russian: Александр Косенков; born 14 March 1977) is a German sprinter who specialises in the 100 metres. He represents the sports club TV Wattenscheid. Biography Kosenkow was born in Tokmok, Kirghiz SSR, but represented Germany at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He competed at the 4 × 100 metres relay together with Tobias Unger, Till Helmke and Martin Keller. In their qualification heat they placed third behind Jamaica and Canada, but in front of China. Their time of 38.93 was the sixth fastest out of sixteen participating nations in the first round and they qualified for the final. There they sprinted to a time of 38.58 seconds, which was the fifth time. Dwain Anthony Chambers (born 5 April 1978) is a British track sprinter. He has won international medals at World and European levels and is one of the fastest European sprinters in the history of athletics. His primary event is the 100 metres, with a best of 9.97 seconds, which ranks him fifth on the British all-time list. He is the European record holder for the 60 metres and 4×100 metres relay events with 6.42 seconds and 37.73 s respectively. Chambers ran a 100 m world junior record of 10.06 s in 1997 and became the youngest ever world medallist in the event at the 1999 World Championships, taking the bronze. The 9th IAAF World Cup in Athletics was an international track and field sporting event sponsored by the International Association of Athletics Federations. It was hosted by Madrid, September 21–22, 2002, in the Estadio La Peineta. The IAAF world cup event is currently held every four years.
