Chris Kerr (referee)
Chris Kerr (born 2 September 1976) is a retired FIFA referee, from Auckland, New Zealand. He officiated on the ISPS Handa Premiership, the national football competition of New Zealand, and is also a former OFC Champions League referee in the Oceania Football Confederation. His occupation is as a Systems Engineer. Career Kerr first took up refereeing in 1991 at the age of 14 in his home town of New Plymouth. In 2006, he became a referee on the New Zealand Football Championship. In 2009, he officiated his first OFC Champions League match between Marist FC (Solomon Islands) and Lautoka F.C. (Fiji) in Honiara. Since then, he has refereed further OFC Champions League games and was a match official at the South Pacific Games in 2011 refereeing his first international. In 2012, he was promoted to the FIFA list as a referee and nominated for New Zealand Footballs' Referee of the year. New Caledonia National Football Team
The New Caledonia national football team is the national team of New Caledonia and is controlled by the Fédération Calédonienne de Football. Although they were only admitted to FIFA in 2004, they have been participating in the OFC Nations Cup since its inception. The 2014 FIFA World Cup was the 20th FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for men's national football teams organised by FIFA. OFC Nations Cup
The OFC Nations Cup is an international association football tournament held among the OFC member nations. It was held every two years from 1996 to 2004; before 1996 there were two other tournaments held at irregular intervals, under the name Oceania Nations Cup. No competition was held in 2006, but in the 2008 edition, which also acted as a qualification tournament for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and for a play-off for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the New Zealand national football team emerged as winners. Historically, a very large gulf separated Australia and New Zealand from the smaller island competitors, and little attention was paid to the tournament by the rest of the football world. The Pacific Games (French: Jeux du Pacifique), is a continental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from Oceania. The inaugural Games took place in 1963 in Suva, Fiji, and most recently in 2019 in Apia, Samoa. The Games were called the South Pacific Games from 1963 to 2007. The Pacific Games Council (PGC) organises the Games and oversees the host city's preparations. Athletes with a disability are included as full members of their national teams. Lautoka () is the second largest city in Fiji. It is on the west coast of the island of Viti Levu, in the Ba Province of the Western Division. Lying in the heart of Fiji's sugar cane-growing region, the city has come to be known as the Sugar City.
