Chongqing–Wanzhou High-speed Railway
Chongqing–Wanzhou high-speed railway is the second route between Chongqing and Wanzhou after Chongqing–Wanzhou intercity railway. The Chongqing–Wanzhou high-speed railway, on a faster alignment, is expected to open in 2025. It will take a different route, heading south to serve Zhongxian and Fengdu Fengdu County (; formerly ) is a county located in Chongqing Municipality, People's Republic of China. The county was established as Fengdu County () during the Sui Dynasty. The name was changed to Fengdu County () during the Ming Dynasty. Wanzhou North railway station () is a railway station in Wanzhou District, Chongqing, China. It is served by the Zhengzhou–Wanzhou high-speed railway and the Chongqing–Wanzhou intercity railway. Wanzhou District
Wanzhou District () is Chongqing's second most populated urban core area on the upper reaches of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River in China. It is currently governed as a district of Chongqing Municipality, bordering Sichuan to the northwest and Hubei to the southeast. It was formerly known as Wanxian or Wan County (). Prior to Chongqing's formation as a direct-controlled municipality, Wanzhou was part of Sichuan province. The urban core of Wanzhou is away from Chongqing's city proper. Chongqing–Wanzhou Intercity Railway
Chongqing–Wanzhou intercity railway is a high speed railway between urban Chongqing and its satellite district of Wanzhou. It is also known at the Yu-Wan Railway, which are abbreviations for Chongqing and Wanzhou. Construction started in December 2012, according to the summarizing and commending meeting of the phase II of "100-day Battle" in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area.
