Chief Of Home Guard
The Chief of Home Guard, also called the Chief of the National Swedish Home Guard ( sv, Rikshemvärnschefen, RiksHvC) is the Swedish Home Guard chief representative. He reports to the Chief of Armed Forces Training & Procurement. The Home Guard function and its development are the responsibility of the Chief of Home Guard and as support in his work at the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters he has the staff of the Home Guard Department (''Rikshemvärnsavdelningen''). The Chief of Home Guard with staff (the Home Guard Department, PROD RIKSHV) is part of the Training & Procurement Staff. Tasks The Chief of Home Guard leads the implementation of the National Home Guard Combat School and the training units' mission activities relating to the Home Guard's operations and he inspects the Home Guard units. Laura Swaan Wrede
Major General Laura Maria Swaan Wrede, née ''Swaan'' (born 16 August 1964) is a Swedish Army officer. She currently serves as the Chief of Home Guard appointed on 30 September 2022. She previously served as regimental commander of the Life Guards between 2017 and 2020 (she was the first female commander of the Life Guards) and as the Deputy Chief of Army from 2020 to 2022. Career Swaan Wrede did her military service in Luleå Anti-Aircraft Regiment (Lv 7) in Luleå, where she trained to shoot down aircraft with different weapons systems: Bofors 40 mm L/60 gun, RBS 70 and the MIM-23 Hawk. Blazon
In heraldry and heraldic vexillology, a blazon is a formal description of a coat of arms, flag or similar emblem, from which the reader can reconstruct the appropriate image. Carl Nils ''Stefan'' Sandborg né Johansson (born 25 March 1970) is a senior Swedish Army officer. He currently serves as the Chief of Home Guard since 2018. Early life Sandborg was born on 25 March 1970 in Linköping Saint Lawrence Parish (''Linköpings S:t Lars församling''), Östergötland County, Sweden. Career Sandborg graduated from the Military Academy Karlberg in 1993 and was commissioned as an officer and appointed second lieutenant and was assigned to the Life Grenadier Brigade (''Livgrenadjärbrigaden'') in Linköping. Major General Bo Göran Roland Ekenberg né ''Arvidsson'' (born 21 March 1957) is retired a Swedish Army officer. His senior commands include commanding officer of the Eastern Army Division (1999–2000) and the Chief of Home Guard (2005–2018). Lieutenant General Anders Reinhold Lindström (14 January 1955) is a retired Swedish Army officer. His senior commands include the Chief of Home Guard, the Chief of Joint Operations and the Commandant General in Stockholm. He retired from the military in 2011.
