Chibolo
Chibolo (sometimes spelled Chivolo) is a town and municipality of the Colombian Department of Magdalena. Chibolo was founded in 1820 and became a municipality on March 8, 1974. Its economy is based on farming, but also attracts by having a historic church of Saint Catherine of Alexandria ( Iglesia Santa Catalina de Alejandría) and the Santa Catalina Plaza (Saint Catherine Plaza). Because of its natural structure, Colombia can be divided into six distinct natural regions. Colombia is a unitary state, unitary republic made up of thirty-two departments (Spanish language, Spanish: ''departamentos'', sing. ''departamento'') and a Capital District (''Capital districts and territories, Distrito Capital''). Our Lady of Mount Carmel, or Virgin of Carmel, is the title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary in her role as patroness of the Carmelite Order, particularly within the Catholic Church. The first Carmelites were Christian hermits living on Mount Carmel in the Holy Land during the late 12th and early to mid-13th century.
