Chen Ming-tong
Chen Ming-tong (; born 25 November 1955) is a Taiwanese politician and currently the Director-General of the National Security Bureau. He was the Minister of the Mainland Affairs Council from 2018 to 2021 and 2007 to 2008. Academic career Chen obtained his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in political science from National Taiwan University (NTU) in 1979, 1981 and 1991, respectively. Chen worked as a researcher in the Research, Development and Evaluation Commission of the Taipei City Government in 1983-1984. After finishing his doctoral degree, he worked as associate professor followed by professor at the Graduate Institute of National Development of NTU from 1992 to 2000. He was a thesis adviser to several politicians affiliated with the Democratic Progressive Party, including Chiu Chih-wei, Kao Chia-yu, Lin Chih-chien, Pan Men-an, and Shen Fa-hui. Chen () () is a common Chinese-language surname and one of the most common surnames in Asia. It is the most common surname in Taiwan (2010) and Singapore (2000). National Taiwan University
National Taiwan University (NTU; ) is a public research university in Taipei, Taiwan. The university was founded in 1928 during Japanese rule as the seventh of the Imperial Universities. It was named Taihoku Imperial University and served during the period of Japanese colonization. After World War II, the Nationalist Kuomintang (KMT) government assumed the administration of the university. Yu Beichen is a former major general in the Republic of China Army and currently a Taiwanese non-partisan politician. His personnel background in the military was from the fraction of General Kao Hua-chu and General Lee Hsiang-chou. He was involved in Taiwanese politics after his retirement and currently runs his own YouTube channel, and was owned the nickname of the “Donated-General”. Shen Fa-hui
Shen Fa-hui (; born 2 November 1966) is a Taiwanese politician. Career Shen studied law at Tunghai University, and later earned a master's in public administration from National Taiwan University. While in college, he was active in the Wild Lily student movement and later worked for Frank Hsieh as a legislative assistant and with Chen Shui-bian's 1994 Taipei mayoral campaign. Within the Democratic Progressive Party, Shen was affiliated with the New Tide faction. He has also led the DPP's Policy Committee. Following his tenure within the policy committee, Shen became a member of the party's central standing committee. Shen served on the Taipei County Council from 1998 to 2005, when he was elected to the Legislative Yuan.
