Chelsea Jarvis
Chelsea Lin Jarvis ( Duncan; born March 11, 1992) is a Canadian curler from Whitehorse, Yukon. She currently plays third on Team Hailey Birnie. She was the longtime third for Sarah Koltun in her junior career. Career Juniors At just 13 years old, Jarvis' first national championship was at the 2007 Canadian Junior Curling Championships where she played third for Sarah Koltun. Her team finished last with a 1–11 record. Later that year, the team finished 1–5 at the 2007 Canada Winter Games. She also played third for Koltun at the next six Canadian Junior Curling Championships. Their best result was in 2013, where they went 7–4 before losing in a tiebreaker. Other notable results were a 6–6 record in 2011 and a 5–7 finish in 2009. She competed at two Arctic Winter Games in 2008 and 2010 winning a gold medal in 2010 and a silver medal in 2008. Whitehorse
Whitehorse () is the capital of Yukon, and the largest city in Northern Canada. It was incorporated in 1950 and is located at kilometre 1426 (Historic Mile 918) on the Alaska Highway in southern Yukon. Kim Dolan
Kim Dolan (born Kim McLeod, April 12, 1958, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) is a Canadian curler. Career 1983–1999 Kim Dolan first made a national appearance on the curling scene in 1983. She won her first provincial championship and represented Prince Edward Island at the 1983 Scott Tournament of Hearts. Her team won four games and finished with a 4–6 round robin record. She returned in 1985 where she finished with the same 4–6 record. In 1987 Dolan made her third appearance at the Scott; however, this time she finished with a 1–10 record. A fourth Scott appearance for Dolan came in 1990. Her team performed better this time around; however finished with a 4–7 record. Returning to the Scott again in 1992, Dolan and team finished round robin with a 4–7 record. Dolan once again returned to the Scott in 1995; this time she played third for Rebecca Jean MacPhee. 2014 NWT/Yukon Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2014 NWT/Yukon Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canada's territorial women's curling championship, was held from January 3 to 5 at the Yellowknife Curling Club in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The winning Sarah Koltun team represented the territories at the 2014 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Montreal. The event marked the first time since 2011 that teams from the Yukon participated. Both the 2012 and 2013 events were cancelled, due to the only entries coming from the Northwest Territories, making that territory's championship the qualifier for the Scotties. The Sarah Koltun rink from Whitehorse won the event, becoming the first team from the Yukon to win the tournament since 2000. 2014 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2014 Scotties Tournament of Hearts was held from February 1 to 9 at the Maurice Richard Arena in Montreal, Quebec. The defending champion Rachel Homan rink won their second straight title, with Homan becoming the youngest skip to ever win back-to-back championships. The team went undefeated throughout the tournament, with the team never even being forced to throw their final rock in any of their games. Teams Returning as defending champions were the Rachel Homan rink from Ottawa, representing Team Canada as a result of winning the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. None of the other qualified teams had won the Scotties. Perhaps the next most decorated team in the event was 2000 Canadian Junior champion, three-time Canada Cup champion and four-time Grand Slam event winner Stefanie Lawton and her Saskatoon rink. 2012 CIS/CCA Curling Championships
The 2012 CIS/CCA Curling Championships were held from March 14 to 18 at the Welland Curling Club in Welland, Ontario. The host university of the event was Brock University, located in nearby St. Catharines. The winners of the event, the teams from the University of Alberta and from Wilfrid Laurier University skipped by Brendan Bottcher and Laura Crocker, respectively, will go on to represent Canada at the 2013 Winter Universiade in Trentino, Italy. Eight teams of each gender competed at the championships, including two from Western Canada, two from Atlantic Canada, and three from Ontario, including the hosts, Brock University. The 2011 CIS/CCA Curling Championships were hosted by the Memorial University of Newfoundland and held in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. 8 Teams in each gender competed at the Championship, including two from Western Canada, two from Ontario, two from Quebec, and two from Atlantic Canada, including the hosts Memorial University.
