Chawnpui Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Aizawl, Mizoram, that competes in the Mizoram Premier League. Chawnpui FC won the Mizoram Premier League, the first division of Mizoram football in 2022, by beating FC Venghnuai. History Chawnpui FC was established in 1995. Chawnpui FC was promoted to Mizoram Premier League in Season 7 018-2019after they were champion in Aizawl District Football Association First Division league competition. They are the current champions of Mizoram Premier League, having lifted the cup in MPL season 9. Rajiv Gandhi Stadium (Aizawl)
Rajiv Gandhi Stadium is an athletic stadium in Mualpui, Salem Veng, Aizawl, Mizoram, India. It is used mainly for football and athletic games. This stadium is named after Rajiv Gandhi, 6th Prime Minister of India and currently it is the home stadium of I-League side Aizawl FC. The stadium is also used by clubs of the Mizoram Premier League. Mizoram Premier League
The Mizoram Premier League (also known as the Zote Honda Mizoram Premier League for sponsorship ties) is the highest state-level football league in Mizoram, India. On a national scale, the state's top tier league is the 4th tier of Indian football league system. The competition is conducted by the Mizoram Football Association, the official football body of Mizoram, with Tetea Hmar as its secretary and key promoter. Aizawl
Aizawl (; Mizo: ) is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. Aizawl was officially established on 25 February 1890. With a population of 293,416, it is the largest city in the state. It is also the centre of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat. Mizoram
Mizoram () is a state in Northeast India, with Aizawl as its seat of government and capital city. The name of the state is derived from "Mizo people, Mizo", the endonym, self-described name of the native inhabitants, and "Ram", which in the Mizo language means "land."
