Channelcast
''Channelcast'' is a British podcast produced by ITV News that covers news events in the Channel Islands. It was originally presented by ITV political correspondent Clare Burton, and Gary Burgess until his death in 2022. Several editions of the podcast have been published to tie-in with major regional news stories, fronted by various ITV Channel presenters. Each episode runs for approximately 30–40 minutes, featuring in-depth analysis and insight into the news stories making headlines in the region. Guests have included Guernsey's Chief Minister, Gavin St Pier, and Jersey's Health Minister, Richard Renouf, who took part in a panel debate as the island became the first place in the British Isles to legalise the principle of assisted dying. Over the series' original run, presenter Gary Burgess also opened up about his terminal cancer diagnosis. ITV News Channel TV
''ITV News Channel TV'' (referred to as ''ITV News on Channel'' on air) is a British television news service for the Channel Islands broadcast and produced by ITV Channel. Overview ITV News has its main Channel Islands newsroom in Jersey as well as a smaller bureau in Guernsey, both with reporters and camera crews working seven days a week. The station also has freelance video journalists based on the smaller islands of Alderney and Sark. There are currently six Channel TV news bulletins produced on weekdays: three during Good Morning Britain (branded as ''Good Morning Channel'' on air), a lunchtime news update, the main 6pm evening news (previously called ''Channel Report'') and a shorter late news bulletin after the ITV News at Ten. There are also two weekend news updates, broadcast early evening on Saturdays and Sundays. ITV Channel Television
ITV Channel Television, previously Channel Television, is a British television station which has served as the ITV contractor for the Channel Islands since 1962. It is based in Jersey and broadcasts regional programme for insertion into the network ITV schedule. Until November 2011, Channel Television was one of four ITV companies independent from ITV plc alongside the two STV regions in Scotland and UTV in Northern Ireland. The station has been owned by ITV plc since 2012 and the licence was transferred to ITV Broadcasting Limited in March 2017.According to www.companieshouse.gov.uk, the previous two companies called "Channel Television Ltd" were converted or closed on 30 July 2012. Gary Burgess
Gary Burgess (13 November 1975 – 1 January 2022) was a British broadcaster and journalist, latterly in the Channel Islands where his freelance work on regional television, local radio and a newspaper led him to become known as a community champion who shared openly about his experiences of cancer and chronic fatigue syndrome. He was named 'Community Champion of the Year' in the ''Jersey Evening Post'' 2021 Pride of Jersey awards. Early life and education Gary Burgess was born in Bury, Greater Manchester on 13 November 1975. At age six, he moved with his family to South Africa due to his father's job. He returned to England at age ten to live in Blackpool, where his grandparents lived. He attended Montgomery High School where he joined their high school radio station 'MHR'. Channel Islands
The Channel Islands ( nrf, Îles d'la Manche; french: îles Anglo-Normandes or ''îles de la Manche'') are an archipelago in the English Channel, off the French coast of Normandy. They include two Crown Dependencies: the Bailiwick of Jersey, which is the largest of the islands; and the Bailiwick of Guernsey, consisting of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, Herm and some smaller islands. Guernsey

Gavin Scooter St Pier (born January 1967) is an elected Deputy in the States of Guernsey and former president of the Policy and Resources Committee. Political appointments He was elected at the general election on 18 April 2012 as a deputy for St Sampson's District. He served as Minister of Treasury and Resources from May 2012 – May 2016.
