ITV News Channel TV
''ITV News Channel TV'' (referred to as ''ITV News on Channel'' on air) is a British television news service for the Channel Islands broadcast and produced by ITV Channel. Overview ITV News has its main Channel Islands newsroom in Jersey as well as a smaller bureau in Guernsey, both with reporters and camera crews working seven days a week. The station also has freelance video journalists based on the smaller islands of Alderney and Sark. There are currently six Channel TV news bulletins produced on weekdays: three during Good Morning Britain (branded as ''Good Morning Channel'' on air), a lunchtime news update, the main 6pm evening news (previously called ''Channel Report'') and a shorter late news bulletin after the ITV News at Ten. There are also two weekend news updates, broadcast early evening on Saturdays and Sundays. Jonathan Wills
Jonathan Wills is a British journalist currently employed by ITV Channel. Born in 1964 he has worked for ITN, where he was best known for presenting the sports segment during the now defunct '' ITV News at 10.30''. He also fronted regional programme ''London Soccer Night'' for ITV London. In late 2007, his contract with ITN ended and he joined ITV Anglia to present the ''East'' edition of their regional news programme ''Anglia Tonight''. As of 12 February 2009, he was the main presenter of the merged ''East'' and ''West'' editions of ''ITV News Anglia'', alongside Becky Jago for almost 14 years. His last programme was May 28, 2021. ''Channelcast'' is a British podcast produced by ITV News that covers news events in the Channel Islands. It was originally presented by ITV political correspondent Clare Burton, and Gary Burgess until his death in 2022. Several editions of the podcast have been published to tie-in with major regional news stories, fronted by various ITV Channel presenters. Each episode runs for approximately 30–40 minutes, featuring in-depth analysis and insight into the news stories making headlines in the region. Guests have included Guernsey's Chief Minister, Gavin St Pier, and Jersey's Health Minister, Richard Renouf, who took part in a panel debate as the island became the first place in the British Isles to legalise the principle of assisted dying. Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. The ITV News Channel was a 24-hour television news channel in the United Kingdom which broadcast from 1 August 2000 to 23 December 2005. It was available on Sky, NTL:Telewest, ITV Digital (until 2002), Freeview (latterly only between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm when ITV4 cut its hours to half day in 2005) and analogue cable, presenting national and international news plus regular business, sport, entertainment and weather summaries.
