Nanabhai Bhatt
Nanabhai Bhatt (12 June 1915 – 24 April 1999) was an Indian film director and producer who worked in Hindi and Gujarati cinema. He is known for making over a hundred fantasy and mythological films, including ''Mr. X'' (1957), ''Zimbo Comes to Town'' (1960), ''Lal Qila'' (1960) and the blockbuster ''Kangan'' (1959) starring Nirupa Roy and Ashok Kumar. His first film, ''Muqabala'' (1942), was the first to feature the double-role or "twins" phenomenon in Indian cinema, wherein lead actress Fearless Nadia alternated between the good sister and the gangster's moll. Nirmala Devi
Nirmala Devi, also known as Nirmala Arun (7 June 1927 15 June 1996), was an Indian actress in the 1940s and a Hindustani classical vocalist of the Patiala Gharana. She is the mother of Bollywood actor Govinda. Nirmala Devi was the wife of the 1940s actor Arun Kumar Ahuja. She has five children, including Indian film actor Govinda and film director Kirti Kumar. She died in 1996. Personal life Nirmala Devi was born on 7 June 1927, in the holy city of Varanasi (then known as Banares), Uttar Pradesh. She was married to actor Arun Kumar Ahuja in 1942. They had 5 children, 3 daughters and 2 sons. The sons are Indian film actor Govinda and film director Kirti Kumar. Arun Kumar Ahuja (born Gulshan Singh Ahuja 17 January 1917 – 3 July 1998), popularly known as Aroon, was an Indian actor and producer who was active in Hindi cinema in the 1940s and early 1950s, appearing in over 30 films in both leading and supporting roles. He was perhaps best known for appearing in Mehboob Khan's 1940 film '' Aurat'' which was the predecessor of the Oscar nominated 1957 remake ''Mother India''. He was married to singer and actress Nirmala Devi and is the father of actor Govinda. Yakub Khan (3 April 1903 – 24 August 1958), known as Yakub, was an Indian actor born into a Pathan family in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. He is best known for his comic and comic villainous roles. He began his career with roles as an extra, but eventually was cast in more important roles, frequently playing the parts of heroes and villains. He became one of the most renowned screen villains, while achieving equal success in comedy and character roles. Yakub appeared in over 100 films. Agha (21 March 1914 – 30 April 1992) was an Indian actor of Bollywood films. He was known for comic roles and modeled himself on Bob Hope's style of acting. He appeared in over 300 Hindi films in his career between 1935 and 1986. His son, Jalal Agha, also became an actor, mostly known for the song ''Mehbooba Mehbooba'' in ''Sholay'' (1975). Gope (11 April 1913–1957) was an Indian actor of Hindi cinema. Starting his career with a small role in ''Insaan Ya Shaitaan'' (1933), directed by Moti Gidwani and produced by Eastern Arts Production, Gope went on to act in over one hundred forty films in a career spanning twenty-four years from 1933 to 1957. Several of his films were released following his death. Best known for his comedy roles, he is stated to be one of Hindi cinema's "most popular comedians". His acting in comic roles won him "critical and popular acclaim" and he soon became "the leading comedian of his time". Sardar Malik (13 January 1930 – 27 January 2006) was an Indian Hindi film music director and score composer. Early life and career Sardar Malik was born on 13 January 1930 in Kapurthala, Punjab, British India. He first was a student at Uday Shankar's India Cultural Centre in Almora, Uttarkhand to learn dancing and singing. He became a trained choreographer in Kathakali, Manipuri and Bharatnatyam there. While at this institute, he also learned music from Ustad Allauddin Khan who also worked at the same centre.
